Beomgyu doesn't show up at school the next day but he went to work at the bakery that afternoon, to see Taehyun too. It's another happy day for both Beomgyu and Taehyun, they're always chatting while working and are always playful with each other. Beomgyu would playfully steal kisses from his boyfriend and catch Taehyun blush whenever he did. Taehyun enjoyed these moments, he loves the feeling he always gets whenever he's with Beomgyu. His boyfriend.
While Beomgyu's cleaning up the counter, he suddenly feels dizzy and slumps to the ground. Taehyun notices it and immediately attends the older.
"Beomgyu?" Taehyun calls out.
Beomgyu shuts his eyes and clasps his hands over his ears. He opens his eyes and he know what's happening. The 'switch'. However, he's seeing someone very familiar through his vision. He knows well that Taehyun is beside him so he expected to see himself. But no, he sees a tall man, looking around his 40s who he knows too well. Chaeryoung's dad.
"What the-" Beomgyu mumbles to himself.
'It couldn't be.' Beomgyu thinks to himself. 'The 'change'?'
"Beomgyu?" Taehyun calls out and Beomgyu looks back at the younger who looks worried. "Are you okay?" Taehyun asks.
Without thinking, Beomgyu wraps his arms around the latter's waist, pulling him into a hug. Taehyun was confused with the sudden gesture but he hugs Beomgyu back, stroking his hair in reassurance.
"I'm okay. Just tired." Beomgyu tells Taehyun, but he was too confused about the situation. He didn't want to tell Taehyun anything because he wanted to confirm the situation. He questions everything that had just happened to him. Was it really the 'change'? But, him and Taehyun have been together for quite a while. And Taehyun's his soulmate, why would it change when they were together? Wasn't it a myth? Or at least the possibility of it should've been low. Has his soulmate really changed? It's Chaeryoung.
And no longer Taehyun?
Beomgyu places his head in the crook of Taehyun's neck. Taehyun comforts the older as he suddenly feels the fabric of his clothes slowly becoming damp. Beomgyu whimpers and lets out soft sobs. Taehyun shushes him and continues to caress him. He doesn't know what and why the older is crying so the only thing that he could muster up to say to Beomgyu is;
"I'm here for you. Forever and always."
