Chapter 8
Selena's POV
I rubbed Jason's back as he continued to throw up into the toilet.
"Again?" I heard Justin mumble from the doorway.
"Yeah. You can go back to sleep, I can handle it." I told him.
This was the fourth time Jason had gotten up to vomit and Justin had woken up everytime as well.
I figured he must be tired and he needed his sleep since he had work tomorrow.
"It's 2:11. I'm going to get his medicine." He said instead.
I nodded and reached over Jason to flush the toilet.
I took him over to the sink and rinsed his mouth out then allowed him to gargle mouthwash because he most likely would vomit again if I put the toothbrush in his mouth.
"Mommy, I'm hot." He whined as I took him back to bed.
I took him over to the windows that overlooked the city and slightly opened one, just enough so that some cold air could enter.
I was freezing (but then again, I'm always cold here) but he seemed to enjoy it so I sat there with him in my lap.
Justin returned with his medicine, which he took without complaint. I guess it helped him last time.
He took the cup back and rinsed it out in the bathroom before coming back out, right as Jason was ending a coughing fit.
"Poor little guy." He said coming up behind me.
I nodded with a frown on my face, shivering slightly as another gust of wind hit me.
"Are you cold?" He yawned.
"How are you not? It's freezing."
He shrugged. "I've been living here my entire life. The weather does not bother me. You however are used to sunshine and heat."
He responded, draping a blanket over my shoulders, allowing his left hand to remain on my left shoulder as he used to right hand to feel Jason's forehead.
He was falling back asleep, hopefully he'll sleep until morning this time.
I stayed near the window until I felt myself drifting off then I moved back to the bed with Jason.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I heard Justin's 6 a.m. alarm go off and I jumped up, taking it off.
As always, I made my way to the bathroom and got ready for the day ahead.
I came out fifteen minutes later wearing a long sleeved top and some shorts.
As I walked down to the kitchen I heard Justin groan as he woke up making me laugh.
For someone that wakes up early every single day, he loved sleep. A lot.
I put the coffee machine to work then made a bacon sandwich for Justin for lunch since he refused to eat breakfast on a morning, and claimed he didn't have time to get himself lunch.
"Morning." Justin mumbled as he entered the kitchen. "Did he wake up again?"
"Nope. He slept the rest of the night." I said, pouring the coffees into two cups. I added milk and sugar to mine but left his alone since he preferred it black.
I turned around and saw him with his head tucked into his hands, which were folded across the table.
Assuming he was just tired I placed the coffee in front him but he shook his head 'no.'
