Reunion in Liyue ☁️

Aether stared off into the distance, not particularly looking at anything. He'd been thinking about a lot recently, mostly his feelings for the infamous; Adeptus Xiao, who aided in saving Liyue a little while ago.

He wasn't completely sure of his feelings, but he did know that the emotions were intense, the racing in his heart every time he talked to the Yaksha for example. He is much better at processing emotions than the ravenette, but not by much.

"Oi, Aether! Come on, we gotta go. Hu Tao invited us to that gathering of sorts, remember?" Lumine spoke, which only then did Aether notice her presence in the room. He sighed softly, before huffing a reply back to his twin, "Do I have to go, Lumi?"
"Obviously! Be a good friend." She said firmly while leaving Aether to his own thoughts.

As Aether reluctantly got up from where he was sitting, he pulled on his coat, letting it drape over his shoulders. "I suppose it could be fun..." He trailed off as he walked towards the door, shutting it quietly behind himself.

"Boo~! Did I scare ya? Hehe.." Hu Tao giggled as Aether and Lumine walked into the event area, scaring the living shit out of the twins. "I knew you two would show!"

"Yeah.. hey, Tao." Aether said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Don't be so dry, Aether! Anyways, what's the event about, Hu Tao?"
"Oh! Right, it's just a small gathering of friends around Liyue! Call it a reunion of sorts." Hu Tao answered thoughtfully, smiling mischievously as she turned to Aether. "Also, my dear client, Xiao should be somewhere around the fountain over there~!" Hu Tao chirped, gesturing to a more remote area of the place. Of course, Aether was a bit creeped out at her tone of voice, it never meant anything good when it came from Hu Tao.

Aether said his thanks to the director, before walking over to the ravenette who was just relaxing on a bench.
"I'm surprised to see you here, Xiao."
"Hm? Oh, it's just you, Traveler..."
"I told you to call me 'Aether'!" He said sternly.
"Ah, apologies. But anyways, for why I'm here is simple; Hu Tao forced me to join." Xiao sighed softly, turning to look at Aether. "I figured as much."

After that, they just sat in silence for a little while. It was more of a comfortable silence, actually. No words really needed to be spoken.

Aether leaned over, resting his head on the shorter male's shoulder, the gesture making Xiao turn his head a little to look at Aether. He didn't say anything, he just let the blonde do as he pleased. Not like the ravenette is against such actions from his partner, though it did feel a little odd after being touch-starved practically his entire life.

"Ne, Xiao, doesn't the moon look beautiful tonight, hey?"

Xiao looked at the sky, his eyes lighting up slightly at the implications of Aether's words.

"It does, yes."

Ganyu walked up to Hu Tao, who was eavesdropping on the couple near the fountain.

"Hu Tao... I don't think you should be invading their privacy like this." Ganyu spoke, her voice as quiet as ever.

"Psh-.. It'll be fine! Plus, they will never know." Hu Tao waved her hand dismissively, it seems as though she failed to keep her voice at a lower pitch though, as the two she was previously spying on seemed to perk their heads up at the sound of her voice.

"Tao! Why are you spying on us!"
"Whoopsies~ gotta go!" Hu Tao snickered as she ran off, presumably to hide behind Zhongli so Xiao couldn't harm her.
