Is there a such thing as love?
Or are we doomed to fail?
I've given you my life
I've given you my time
My hobbies collected dust
You no longer soothed my fears
No more excuses, no more "misunderstandings"
You liked me opinionless and dull
My flame burnt-out within hours
Music held the lighter
Music kept me going past your abuse
I'm venting through lyrics
Crying in the arms of melodies
Being comforted by heavy metal
laughing with indie rock
Gossiping with country songs
Hating my exes with break up songs
Let pop rock tell me its hyper fixations
I'm in love with music
Music has understood me
Especially more than you
Go cry and ruin someone else's life
I'm no longer a bucket for your tears
I'm a burning flame of creativity
With music cheering me on
no one will ever best me while I'm silent
I'm finding my family, without you
