It has been six weeks since Lilly married Viserys and four days since her monthly bleed hadn't arrived, making her go to the maester's

"Her Grace, Queen Lillian," a guard announced as she entered the room.

"Your grace," Maester Mellos said, bowing after standing up.

"What can I do for you?" he asked, walking around his desk to be near her.

"I believe I am with a child, but I am not sure." Lilly said nervously, making his face light up.

"Oh, such great news! Well, I will give you a test that will determine if you are with a child," he offered, making her nod, so he went and got many things and began mixing them.

"I will need a drop of blood. Your grace, if the drop of blood spreads, you are with a child; if it does not, you sadly are not," he explained, making her nod and pinch her finger, wincing slightly.

She watched a drop of her blood fall into the mix before spreading.

"You are with a child, Your Grace. Congratulation! This is excellent news!" the Maester exclaimed, happily making her smile.

"Thank you. I wish to inform the king myself, so please, can we keep this between you and me?" she asked, making him nod, assuring her he would keep quite

"Your grace I am sorry to interrupt your meeting, but I have news to tell you about the queen, like you asked me to," a maid said as she interrupted the council meeting, making everyone confused about why the king was having his wife spy on

"What is it?" Visery asked.

"The queen has visited the Maester Mellos," the maid informed, making everyone freeze, some worried for their queen's health and some hoping to hear she is with a child.

"Is she sick?" Otto asked if she's sick; it could put things at risk for his blood on the throne.

"I am not sure, My Lord Hand."

"Very well, leave us." Viserys demanded, not caring, making the maid leave quickly.

She was pregnant with the king's child. She is to have a child in 8 or 9 months, and she was scared, but she vowed that her child, boy or girl, would be cherished and loved by her. She would protect her children from her husband and anyone who dared to hurt them. They will be the reason she survives and lives.

She stood in front of the mirror in her room, staring at her stomach. Amazed that life was in her stomach

"I will protect you, and I will love you so much, my dear child," she whispered, rubbing her stomach with a small smile.

"Princess Rhaenyra and Lady Alicent, your Grace," a guard announced, opening the door and letting them in.

"Lilly, are you okay? Word that you visited the Maester has gotten out. Are you sick or hurt?" They both rapidly questioned her, lifting her arms and looking over her.

Lilly giggled. "I am okay, sisters. Truly, I do have news that can be seen as exciting," she said, smiling softly, making both girls freeze slightly. It had been weeks since they had seen a true smile on the girls faces.

"What is it?" Alicent asked as they sat down.

"I am with my child, The Maester confirmed earlier today," Lilly said with a soft smile as she played with her dress.

Rhaenyra and Alicent were both shocked. She was a child having a child.

"I will love this child dearly; it will be my reason to wake up in the morning, and if I give birth to a boy or girl, they will be loved in any way, and they will not be a threat to your claim, Rhaenyra. I swear, I do not wish for my children to sit on the throne."

"Congratulations, sister; truly, this is wonderful news," Alicent said, hugging her. But she wasn't happy; she was terrified for her sister.

"Exactly as Alicent said, this is wonderful news." Rhaenyra shared a look with Alicent when the young girl looked away.

"My Queen, the King, wishes to see you in his chambers," a maid said, walking into her chamber. Lilly looked up from her book and smiled, confusing the maid because normally when the king requests her, she pales and looks sad, but she looks happy right now.

"Well, I shouldn't keep him waiting," she said, getting up gracefully and walking out of the room to her husband's room.

"Your Grace" Ser Steffon and Ser Errik said they were bowing before opening the door for her, making her give a light bow in respect, and thanked them for something everyone loved about the new queen, even though she was put in a position where she did not enjoy being their sick king's wife. She treated everyone well; she was gentle and kind, and she always showed respect to anyone below her. They were worth her time, and it made them love her for it.

"Good evening, husband," she said, bowing with a smile—something Viserys wouldn't admit, but he enjoyed her joy sometimes, but other than those moments, he was annoyed by it.

"Wife," he greeted. "I told you you had seen the maester today; I wanted to see why," Viserys said, wanting to get to the point.

Lilly nodded and sat down on the couch next to him, turning her body so she faced him.

"Well, I had not been feeling very well and realized my monthly was late, so he had done a test before he came to the conclusion that I was with child," Lilly said with a smile.

"You are with child," Viserys said, shocked, making her nod.

"Yes, I believe I am nearly a moon along. I told my sister and Princess Rhaenyra before I came here, but they knew not to tell. I wished to wait a little longer to make sure no issues occurred. Stress is not good for the babe, and I do not want to take a chance, my king."

"Yes, yes, of course we will wait until you start to show to tell this wonderful news. Thank you, wife," he said, making her feel happy and elevating her husband. He was finally happy with her, and she made her husband proud. She did her duty, and her father will be proud of her.

"Thank you, my king. May I ask something of you?" Lilly said it nervously, scared of angering him. He nodded and waved his hand, urging her to continue.

"I want you to swear to me that I will get to take care of our child, no wet nurses or them always in nursery's with maids, and regardless of their ages, they will not be given to ward; they will stay here with me, and I get to choose their marriages. I wish for them to find their match, not be forced to marry someone," Lilly said nervously as he stared at her.

"Okay, whatever children you bear will be completely your responsibility. No wet nurses; they will stay here and not ward anyone, and you will choose their marriages, no political marriages." He said he is not caring; he doesn't care for the kids; he just needs his linage to be long; he needs sons to carry on the Targaryen name.

"Thank you, thank you, my love," she said happily. She was relieved that her children would stay with her and have the chance to be free. She vowed they would be safe and happy.

That was one thing she could do, but she knew she couldn't trust that he would stay true to his word and needed to make sure he did something.
