Four months had passed since Rhaenyra and Alicent had left for Dragonstone, and Lilly was once again in labor. She started early morning and was progressing quickly; her screams were heard through the castle, and her children flinched at each other as they sat in the hall waiting for their mother to finish laboring.
"Fuck!" Lilly shouted, making Daeron confused.
"What does fuck mean?" the young boy of five asked, making Aegon laugh, which led to his brothers laughing.
"It is a bad word only for adults to say little prince." Se Arryk answered the young prince, making him smile at the knight and thanking him before going back to his coloring.
"How much longer will she be in labor, Criston?" Rhaella asked the knight who sat on the floor with her, trying to distract her from the loud screams her mother was filling the chambers and halls with.
The children didn't want to leave their mother, so there was only so much he and Arryk could do to distract them.
"Well, laboring can last days, minutes, or hours, and your mother's labors have been different each time, so there is no way to tell," the knight answered, sighing as another pained scream met his ears. All he wanted to do was hold her and assure her that everything would be ok and that she could do it, but he couldn't.
"AHHH, fucking seven hell," Lilly yelled. Another contraction hit while she walked back and forward, trying to get her labor to progress.
"All is well, your grace, your doing great." Lyra whispered, wiping her sweating forehead with a cold, wet towel.
"Fuck she whimpered pushing when the midwife told her to try to take slow and deep breaths as she labored. One thing she learned after giving birth so many times: calm your breathing if you can. If you can, things are more pleasant. Less chance of ripping.
Around thirty minutes passed, and she gave birth to a son, another prince.
"He is beautiful, your grace," Talia said as she wrapped the newborn up, handing him to her queen, who was crying overwhelmed slightly as she gazed down at her son, who was perfect just like her other children who were born before him.
"Let us get you, and the baby cleaned up your grace; your buddle of joys are impatiently waiting to meet the new baby." Lyra joked, making her laugh, letting her take her son before getting out of bed so that she could clean up and so they could clean the bed.
Not long after was Lilly back in her bed, feeding her baby, while the mads cleaned up the mess in her chambers. She waited until the maids were gone and she had fed and burped the baby to have her children come in.
Lyra walked to the door and opened it, making the children perk up. They heard the baby cry and saw many people go in and out, and they were getting impatient.
"Do you guys want to come meet your baby brother?" She asked with a happy grin, watching the queens 'litter' jump up off the floor and quietly rush into the room, all eager to meet their new sibling.
Their mother may have been in labor for the last few hours, but she still looked beautiful, surely tired, but was glowing as she smiled at them while they crowded around the bed so they all could see the baby.
"Whats his name, mama?" Alyra asked
"Please don't say Joffrey Mama; its a weird name." Rhaella cut in, making Lilly laugh, shaking her head.
"His name is Aerys, a Valyrian name," Lilly told her children, who cooed at the baby.
"Can I hold him?" Valen asked, sitting next to her mother on the clean bed.
