'I had missed King's Landing in these past few years.' Visenya spoke, looking up at the blossoming trees as they passed by. This far into the castle there were less people, a place mostly royals dare visit. 'I have such fond memories of this place.'
Aemond lets out a huff of laughter though he was far from being amused. The last time she and her family had set foot in the castle he was still but a small child, constantly tormented by Jace and his own brother.
Though Visenya had never participated in the act, her silent, judgmental gaze had caused him more damage than his own physical wounds.
'Fond memories we do not share, I assure you so.'
'Nonsense, I have some in which you are a part of, you know.' Aemond looked down at the lady holding his arm, unsure of how to reply to her words. He couldn't tell for the life of him if she was genuine or if this was also a facade.
'You must know that lying is not befitting of a lady.'
'I do not lie, my Prince.' Visenya smiled, casting her eyes up towards him. At this angle, they almost looked golden. 'I have always been fond of pretty things.'
Aemond's smile grew dangerous. 'Princess, what are you playing at?'
'I play no games, my lord.'
'Hm, just as how your betrothed had mysteriously failed on both occasions?'
'I did not know you were so interested in my personal life.' Visenya's body language had remained natural, as if she really was simply going on a walk and not holding onto the arm of the man who had lusted for her life ever since her blade had took his eye.
Aemond lowered his voice, enough so that Ser Erryk-who was only a few steps back-would not be able to hear. 'These are dangerous games you play, Princess.'
'These are dangerous accusations you are throwing, my Prince.'
'I am merely making statements.'
'You act as if you have seen their deaths.' Visenya hummed as he led her into the Castle's royal garden. The garden itself was filled mostly with red and black flowers, the colors of the Targaryen house.
'No, but I have seen their killer.' Aemond spoke, following her gaze amongst the garden. 'And it seems that I was the only one who made it out alive.'
'Ser Erryk, will it be alright to wait for me here?' Visenya turned towards the knight with a kind smile who bowed at her attention, halting in his steps.
'Of course, Princess.'
The Princess turned, content with his answer before they both venture deeper into the gardens, walking under the vine filled archway. From any other maidservant's perspective, it would have looked like a happy reunion though it was far from such.
'Well? Will you attempt to silence me?' Aemond tested, noticing the slight tension in her arm the moment they had gotten out of other's sight.
Visenya only smiled, face relaxed despite her alertness. 'I am not a fool as to attempt such things out in the open.'
The Prince smile turned feral at the underlining threat. 'You dare threaten a Prince?'
'You dare threaten a Princess.'
'You are no Princess.' Aemond hissed, voice laced with lingering venom as his eyes lowered. 'A princess is kind and passionate.'
'I am quite passionate.'
