Arrax screeched as he bursted through the clouds, flapping his wings once before tightening them to his body. Visenya let out an excited yell as the dragon drove down head first from the sky, the wind rushing through her hair and tangling it in the act though she paid it no mind.
Keeping her head lowered towards the beast's back Visenya held onto her reins tightly. Besides her, Vermax had copied their actions, the two dragons diving down side by side as the siblings urged them faster.
The two dragons let out a call as they neared the water and just as they were about to submerge Arrax spread his wings, making a sharp turn and gliding through the water's surface instead, his claws dipping into the cool sea below.
Vermax let out a screech before he flew above, splashing Visenya with the aftermath in the process and the Princess let out a laugh.
'Eglikta, Arrax! (Higher, Arrax!')' Visenya shouted over the wind and her dragon gave an answering call before pulling himself higher from the water's edge.
The two dragons circled each other in the sky, Arrax playfully biting at Vermax's tail who in response, sped up ahead only to trigger Arrax's competitive instincts.
'Paez. (Slow)' Visenya ordered once her dragon was getting awfully closer to the other though to no vail. She straightened in her seat then, twirling the robes around her arm before giving it a rough tug and only then did Arrax start to slow down, giving his head a frustrated shake.
The two continued to fly until Dragonstone's castle came into view, Jace letting out a yell as he lifted his arms in the sky freely, leaning back against his seat and staring at the sky above in awe.
Visenya laughed at her brother though she held her own reins tightly, not risking a chance for Arrax to act on his own. Just like the princess, her dragon was competitive in the sense that could lead to serious risks.
Over the past two years that they had been back at Dragonstone Visenya had spend more time in the skies than she did on the ground, part of her father's orders though the joy she once felt when she rode as a child was slowly fading.
Arrax was not bonding with her properly, and her parents could tell. It was why Daemon had commanded her to fly so frequently, urging the bonds to grow stronger.
She was now eight and ten years old, the time for marriage closing in on her by the minute but luckily her mother had been far too busy to entertain the suitors, those close enough to Dragonstone to come visit themselves having been too low in station for her to even consider.
Vermax landed onto the shores of Dragonstone with a thud, followed by the bigger dragon as Visenya swayed forward slightly from the impact.
'That was refreshing, wasn't it?' Jacerys called over teasingly, he was still breathing heavily from their morning exercise.
'Refreshing.' Visenya repeated, her dragon riding armor drenched from head to toe though the image only made her brother burst into laughter beside her.
Shaking her head she urged Arrax forward, the dragon already walking towards the pit on the side of the castle as multiple dragon keepers ran forward to greet the two royals.
Unwinding the rope around her arms she lifted her legs to one side before jumping off of her small sized dragon, the keepers immediately coming forward to grab the ropes as Jace slid off of his.
'I am starving.' Visenya spoke as her brother fell into steps beside her. Over the years he had grown to be even taller than he was before, the Princess now only reaching his nose and as Visenya stared up at Jace, she had the urge to dump him back into the ocean for revenge.
