The dress was twice the weight it usually is. With golden embroidery flowing down the centre the deep red of her skirts flowed around her steps like a pool of blood. Visenya had her hair loosely braided back, a simpler design when compared to that of her dress though the darkness of it had made the red jewels on her ears shine that much more.

'You look wonderful, Princess.' The maidservant spoke as she places a golden necklace around her neck with gentle hands.

'Thank you.' Visenya replied with a kind smile in which the maid, Mary, returned.

'Princess.' Another maid came to her side, bowing when Visenya slid her eyes towards the woman. 'Prince Aemond has arrived.'

The princess glanced back towards her reflection in the mirror, taking in a deep breath before letting an easy, gentle smile grace her lips.

'Let him in.'

The doors opened at once and she was surprised he even bothered waiting to be granted an audience instead of barging in as his elder brother would've done.

Aemond stride into her chambers with his hands clasped behind his back, in his signature black coat that covered the leather long sleeve shirt underneath. His shoes clicked on her stone, long silver hair also half tied behind his back.

Finally, his eye landed on her and his steps ceased.

The Princess has always been a beauty, that much even he was aware. Whenever he had trained with the young Lords of the Red Keep they would always talk of her appearance. The dark features that made her face appear more intimidating than kind, the smile that could instantly ease the tension in your shoulders despite being anything but genuine to the shape of her body.

Gods be good.

Aemond flickered his eyes up from the nape of her neck, realising that he had been staring too late as he caught the sight of Visenya's sly smile.

'You do look ravishing this night, my Prince. More so than on a normal day.'

Once again, he could not tell if her tone was that of empty compliments or if she had actually approved of his attire.

'If you are looking for a compliment, you will not get one from me.' Aemond replied as Visenya finally stood, the maids falling back with a bow of respect.

'I do not need them.' She simply responded back before turning to meet his gaze full front and the Prince couldn't help but tightened his hold behind his back.

Visenya was a thorn to his side, always has been. When he was young merely the sight of her would send his face aflame though as she stole his eye, the fascination he felt had merged into that of deep hatred along the way.

Now, as she came to stand before him he realised at once that the young Lords words were nothing but the truth.

And he hated it.

'If you do not stop staring, my Prince, we would be late to his Grace's ceremony.'

Aemond felt his lip twitch. 'You look nothing like your mother.'

Sharp eyes glanced up at him and he waited to see if this was finally the moment he would get a reaction out of her, that she would finally snap. That she would yell, curse or even lay her hands on him though all she did was snake her arms around his own.

'Shall we?'

Her hand tightened around his arm, coiling just like that of a venomous snake.

Aemond hummed, averting his gaze as they turned to walk out of her chambers and into the busy halls of the castle.
