"Leave us." Visenya commanded the guards who rushed out one by one, most of them lifting each other up in support while the two remaining hauled the corpse, taking it with them.

Aemond's chest rose and fell rapidly, his hand clenching and unclenching in its chained state. Instead of being on the bed, the Prince was forced down onto the floor, one arm chained to the bed post.

She would not need any more chains, her poisons would hold him captive well enough.

His eye tracked her movements as she walked towards him, the blooded hem of her gown trailing on the floor. Visenya looked down at him, the dagger in her hand and all of a sudden Aemond was not the feared One Eyed Prince he had came to be, but just a boy, screaming as he held his bleeding eye under her.

The Prince seemed to have echoed her thoughts, his hand gripping the chain as he tried to shuffle himself upright with a grunt, his gaze never leaving hers.

"If only you weren't so stubborn." Visenya sighed, dropping down so that she was sitting gracefully beside him. She traced her dagger against his neck, watching his throat bob as Aemond angled his face away from the danger. "Is the thought of being my consort such a horror?"

"You took my eye." He gritted out.

"And yet here you are, still able to see."

"You harmed my dragon."

"After you've murdered mine." It had come out more of a sneer, her composure lost and Visenya breathed in deeply, turning away when Aemond's eye flickered towards her, filled with guilt she never knew he felt.

"I did not command her to."

"What does it matter? The fact remains that Vhagar tormented us upon your request. Now your dragon is still alive, licking her wounds while Arrax 's torn flesh floats in the ocean."

"Princess-"

The steel of the knife kissed his neck as she hoisted herself up, placing her other hand on the bed. "You will tell me what I need to know."

Aemond kept his eye on her, softening when he saw the unshed tears glistening in her eyes. Since she had woken on the sandy shores, her body bleeding and broken Visenya had not had time to mourn, thrown into a series of life threatening situations. Now, in this quiet room when she was confronted by the man who had taken away the beast she had thought of as a kin, she felt suffocated with emotions.

Visenya did not know how to mourn, and she will not start now. "We've blocked the passage way through the west and north rivers, where is she getting those reinforcements?"

"I can't tell you that, Princess."

"Speak."

"I will not betray my family."

"You have already betrayed your family." Visenya whispered as she leaned closer, noticing the way his breath seemed to hitch. "Every time your eye followed me through the halls, every time you seek me out in the crowds, every time my name whispers pass your lips is a knife sent straight to your mother's heart."

Aemond did not flinch, but she didn't miss the way the muscle in his arm twitched, his grip tightening on the chains. "Is being egotistical a Strong family trait? You seem to share it with your brother."

"Try not to play a fool with me Aemond I've spent too much time around the men in this household to know what lust looks like."

At this, Prince Aemond seemed to seethe. His other, unchained hand had grabbed the skirts at her waist, his grip weak and shaking, his eyes furious. "Do not mistake what I feel for mere lust."
