love, me

I honestly love how she turned out to be
The girl from my vague memory
She used to love words the way I do
Wrapped herself with lines and rhymes and proses too

I often caught her alone in the middle of the night
Under the clear bright sky
The moonlight is her guide
And the stars are there to sing a lullaby

In every letters she sew
Her heartbeat pumps anew
It's as if life has given life once more
And I can't help myself but to adore

How long have this little poet come
I remember she was once just trying hard for fun
But now she's deeply in love with her pen
And the things they, two, make happen

Oh, how I wish I could talk to that young girl right now
And tell her how proud I am
Of the woman she will to become
And that no matter the struggles,
She'll turn out to be just fine.
