- Rahaf's pov -

I sat cross-legged on my bed, the glow from my laptop illuminating the dimly lit room.

My fingers danced across the keyboard, searching through university websites in a quest for the perfect institution. With each click, excitement bubbled within me, mingling with a hint of nervousness.

I just got my 12th boards results and now I was looking for best universities in India to get admission in.

"Rahaf, have you found any interesting options?" My brother's voice broke through my concentration, and I glanced up to see Rehaan bhai leaning against the doorframe, a curious expression on his face.

I nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "Ji bhai, a few. But I'm still exploring."

He stepped into the room, joining me on the bed. "Well, let me know if you need any help. I've been through this process already, remember?"

I chuckled, grateful for his offer. "Thanks, I appreciate it."

I forgot to mention, I've two elder brothers. Rehaan bhai and Ayaan Bhai, I'm the youngest in my family and the only sister of my brother.

Before I could delve back into my search, the door creaked open once more, and my father entered the room. His presence commanded attention, and I couldn't help but straighten up, suddenly feeling like a student caught slacking off in class.

"Rahaf, your mother told me you were here," he said, his voice warm but tinged with authority. "How are your studies going?"

I swallowed nervously, knowing this question held more weight than usual. "They're going well, Papa. I just received my results today."

His eyes brightened with interest. "And?"

I hesitated for a moment, savoring the anticipation before finally delivering the news. "I got 95%."

A proud smile spread across his face, and I felt a rush of relief wash over me. "That's excellent, Rahaf! I'm proud of you."

I returned his smile, gratitude flooding my chest. "Thank you, Papa."

But then, his expression shifted, his brows furrowing in thought. "With results like these, you should aim for the best universities. Have you thought about where you want to apply?"

I nodded eagerly, excitement bubbling within me once more. "Yes, I've been researching some top universities. I want to pursue a degree in computer science."

My father's eyes sparkled with an idea, and my heart skipped a beat as he spoke. "Rahaf, what do you think about studying in Mumbai?"

Mumbai? The mere mention of the bustling city sent a thrill through me. It was a world away from our quiet town, full of endless possibilities and opportunities.

And being a middle class who wouldn't like to study in a city like Mumbai?

"Mumbai?" I echoed, unable to contain my excitement. "But... why Mumbai?"

He smiled, a hint of mischief glinting in his eyes. "Because it's one of the best places to study computer science. And I know you'll thrive there, Rahaf."
