Derek finished up his work at Stephen's home. He didn't need the job, but he chose to keep it so he'd stay busy.
Derek checked his watch and wrote Stephen a quick note. (The last time he left without one, the sorcerer assumed Derek had gotten eaten by one of the monsters.) He then left the building and made his way home.
"Hey, handsome, where are you headed?"
Derek turned, ready to insult the random flirt but smiled when he saw Stiles's face. He pulled him into a deep kiss.
"Come to walk me home," Derek asked, rubbing his thumb along his jawline.
"Actually, I'm here to take you on a date," Stiles smiled.
"Date? What's the occasion," Derek asked.
"I felt like it. Join me," Stiles asked.
"Do I have time for a quick shower first," Derek asked.
"You don't stink."
"I've been working with dusty books all day. I'll make it quick," Derek said, leading him home by the hand.
Stiles followed his lead and waited for him to get done. After he finished, Stiles slipped his hand back into his.
"Do you trust me," Stiles asked, intertwining their fingers.
Derek gave a brief look of suspicion.
"Yes."
Stiles pulled him into a nearby looming shadow. Derek assumed they'd bump into the wall until the shadow engulfed them. Once they exited, the surroundings had changed.
"Where are we," Derek asked, looking around.
"This is where I was born in my past life," Stiles smiled.
He snapped his gaze to Stiles.
"This is hell? Like actual hell-hell," Derek asked.
"You always asked me questions about the place, so I thought I should show you," Stiles shrugged, "The safe parts anyway."
"Are you sure I'm allowed here?"
"I asked Titan's permission a couple days ago. He said he was okay with it," Stiles explained.
Derek examined the palace-like area. It honestly looked like a castle. Then again, Dante did always call Stiles and the others by royal titles.
