Scott stood in front of the large mirror. He could see the shadow behind him, but he could never put a face to it.

"For so long you have strived to be a hero," the shadow said, "Holding on to the person you once were."

Scott kept reminding himself like clockwork that this isn't real. It was all in his head.

"You hold so tight that you forget you have evolved. Humans are meant to be below you," the shadow said.

Scott watched the mirror disappear, revealing Isaac to him.

Scott stepped closer to him, pulling the illusion of his lover into his arms. He kissed him hungrily, biting his bottom lip and pulling gently.

"Would you do anything for me," Isaac asked, "For our daughter?"

"You know I would," Scott whispered, clinging to his waist.

"Anything?"

Scott noticed his eyes looking past his head. He turned to face Allison as he's done so many times before.

"She's killed plenty of our own. People like her hunt beings like us," Isaac said, resting his hands on Scott's waist.

"She killed me," Erica said, stepping forward.

"She killed me," Boyd said, standing next to Erica.

"And she would've killed us."

Stiles, Derek, Lydia, Liam, Corey, Mason, and Malia stepped forward. Yet Scott stared at his daughter, Grace. She held onto Stiles's hand. Grace wasn't even a werewolf, was she?

Scott's eyes shifted red as he wasted no time in lunging at Allison, and ripping her throat open with his claws. After she was down, he kept clawing away at her corpse.

He hated it, but couldn't help himself from smiling. A part of him enjoyed the thrill this gave him. Then he was back in front of the mirror, staring at his bloodied reflection.

"Scott McCall, you were never meant to save this world..."

Scott turned to face the shadow behind him. The shadow materialized into himself. A dark energy seemed to fill this version.

"You were meant to rule it," his shadow-self said.

"Mercy is weak," Scott said, extending his hand, "I will not let another person I love die because of my weakness."
