Meanwhile, Stephen was working again, leaving Lucifer at his place alone. He was taking longer than usual this time.

The devil kept himself busy with reading and cleaning up. He froze as he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Lucifer..."

"Can it be," Lucifer asked, turning to face the intruder, "Has my younger brother decided to pay the black sheep of the family a visit?"

Gabriel tilted his chin upwards a bit.

"We need to talk," Gabriel said.

"Why, yes. Of course, you assumed I'd drop everything I'm doing to speak with you," Lucifer scoffed.

Gabriel furrowed his eyebrows.

"But you are not doing anything," Gabriel said, confused by what he meant.

"That's not the point... What do you want, Gabe," Lucifer asked, crossing his arms.

"Things are taking place in Heaven..."

"And how does that involve me," Lucifer asked.

"Your daughter has died," Gabriel started.

Lucifer grabbed him by the throat with glowing eyes. He slammed him against the table, his hands threatening to squeeze.

"Have you come here to mock me? I suggest you rethink this strategy," Lucifer spat.

"Lucifer, I did not come to fight you, brother," Gabriel reasoned, struggling against his strength.

"I am not your brother! You made that perfectly clear to me," Lucifer said, slamming his head against the wood.

"Her death has caused chaos," Gabriel hissed, "I am telling you this to warn you!"

"Warn me?! Can you be any more pathetic," Lucifer scoffed.

"Michael is coming for you," Gabriel confessed, making Lucifer freeze.

He let him go and stepped back while shaking his head.

"What? No... No, he isn't. You're lying," Lucifer said.

"You know we all hold a specific curse to our celestial gifts," Gabriel said, "Do you remember what mine was?"

"You can not lie. Father made it impossible for you to lie," Lucifer said softly.
