A Careless Soul // ghost x reader

A Recurring Thought.

As we finally get back to base, Ghost gets out of the car while I'm still in his arms. As the boys see price they all greet price at the front gates. "How was the mission..?" Price saids as he turns his head to look at me. "What happened." Price said. "She got shot in her leg. Getting the files that fell from my suit." Ghost said. Price nods "take her to the infirmary. Soap , Gaz.. come with me." Price said. The boys nod and do as told. Ghost looked down at me to see my eyes were closed. "Wake up Y/N." Ghost said. I slowly opened my eyes to see ghost.

"..mhm?" I reply as I look at him. "We're almost at the infirmary. Stay awake alright?" He saids. I nod staying quiet. "Ghost moves his arms to adjust my position. "Careful." I say, "the wound still hurts like hell." I say with a unexpressive tone. "My apologies." He saids. As we finally make it to the infirmary we see one of the nurses come by. But she seems unsure. "Who's this Ghost..?" The nurse said. "A new .. solider that might be joining us sooner or later." Ghost said. The nurse glare into me softened into a happy look. "Alright sit her down in one of the rooms I'll be ready to assist her in a few!" The nurse saids.

Ghost walks into the room and places me onto the bed in the room. "When the nurse is done just come to the training room alright?" Ghost saids. I nodded as ghost walked out as the nurse walked in. "Hello! What's your name?" The nurse asked, after a few moments of silence she spoke again "not much of a talker huh? That alright! May I see your leg?" The nurse said. I nodded as I put my leg up for her to examine it. "Hm.. so there's no Severe damage to your leg or anything but after a patch it up you will have to be careful with your leg for a little bit alright?" She saids. I nodded.

As she slowly took off my bandages she kept glancing to see if I had a reaction towards it. My eyes sqeeuzed shut but I hadn't made a doing yet which had her by surprise. "Your a tough one! Almost done just keep still!" The nurse said. "I need you to take your tights off for me to do this by the way, I'll stay out of the room as you take it off." She said. She went out of the room as I slowly but surely took off the tights. "Im done." I said raising my voice. She came inside with a faint smile "Alright your ready? Let's get started!" She said As she went to get tools she slowly used a tool to slowly take the bullet out of my legs "mgh!" I grunt. "

Don't worry almost done.. just a few more seconds alright?" She said trying to keep me calm. I didn't understand why she tried to keep me calm although I was fine.. guess some people don't know that emotionless people feel pain aswell..

As she finally finished taking the bullet out she finally put some medience on the wound and bandages it again. "Alright your all set! Just people be careful with walking alright? If you ever need crutches or a wheel chair just let me know and I'll get you one!" The nurse said with a bright smile. She said that I had to wait for a little bit until I could go so the doctor could see if the wrapping was right so I wouldn't bleed out. After the doctor checked me ghost picked me up from the infirmary.

"You feeling alright Y/N?" Ghost asked. "Yeah im fine." I said with blank eyes. He nodded "alright. Price wants to talk to you in his office, he wants to make an offer." Ghost said. "Alright.." I replied. As me and ghost slowly head over to his office we see Gaz and soap standing outside of prices office. Soap and Gaz have a bright smile on their faces as they begin to wave at me and ghost. "Hey Y/N!!" Soap and Gaz yelled. They seemed excited. I didn't really bother to look into why though. The boys had told me to come inside prices office and there price was.

He had a faint smile on his face which was supposed to be a good sign Gaz told me. "Please sit down Y/N." Price said. "So as you know I sent you on a mission with the other members to prove if you're trustful to this group. And well.. that stunt you pulled to get the files back.. and you sacrificing yourself for them resulting in an injury? Well if that isn't trustful enough I don't know what is. " he said with a smile." Ghost probably told you I have an offer so I'll just cut to the chase." price saids returning to his normal face.

"So. As it's been clear your team dosent look like there coming anytime soon. It's almost been 4 months since they left. My offer is this, you can go on three more missions to prove that your trust worthy and then maybe.. just maybe you'd might consider leaving your team for team 141?" Price said. I looked at him with blank eyes, I guess he expected some reaction out of me. I didn't feel any emotion towards it. All the emotions I had felt before these past few days I had just forgotten about. "I'll give you time to heal and think about this offer. But.. I have one question before you even think about this offer.." he saids with a serious glare.

"Do you still care about your team blackout 301?"
