A Careless Soul // ghost x reader

New Comers.

AUTHORS NOTE: little changes to other chapters but it dosent affect plot. 

**TIMESKIP**

It had been.. say maybe 3 months since everything had happened?  These passed 4 months had been a blur, all i can really tell you? I gained Soaps trust and respect. well, thats what he told me. so i guess its a bonus?  I've been working at 141 for about ..  11 months now. I was a hidden asset to the force, So i wasn't shown to the recruits nor lower Ranks. Price had tested me on my skill and said i'd be ranking up quickly.. Which i did, i'm now a Corporal.  if i remember clearly.. i have something to do.. i just gotta.. 

"Wake up Y/N!" Ghost said, he sounded.. worried?

i was stirring in my bed. i felt water streaming my face.

i woke up, my eyes had tears in them and my breath was fast. i.. had a nightmare again. "Hey you alright?" Ghost said sitting on the edge of my bed. He looked at me, His eyes still with the same unreadable eyes, but.. it looked.. softer? maybe i was going crazy. "yeah i'm fine." i said. He looked at me with a suspicious look. "Nightmares? Don't be embarrassed." Ghost said sighing, putting his hood down and brushing a hand through his hair. He wasn't wearing his normal mask, it only covered the nose and the bottom half of his face.. Thats .. new. " We all get em'." Ghost continued.  "Go get ready, Got a long.. long day ahead of you." Ghost said. He walked to the door and before leaving, He gave a reassuring nod. He soon left closing the door.

After a few minutes of staring at the ceiling, i got up. And got my clothes and got ready. As i took off my shirt and pants. i couldn't help but just stare at myself. All these old scars.. Made me feel weird. i brushed it off and just got ready. A few minutes later i got up and walked out of the door.

it was a new day. I was assigned to train recruits today. I was told that these recruits were... surprising. i walked over to the main room to wait for the recruits, i saw three waiting. Their codenames on their patches were "Light" , "Koi" , and "Hush" . I stood near the door frame. i speak up as they turn towards me. "This is everyone?" I ask. Koi looked like a excited puppy. "Ooo! she's pretty!!" He saids excitedly. Light pinches the top of her nose. "Koi, calm down. its 8 in the morning." She grumbles. Hush looks at them then looks at me. "No, there's about 8 of us. Some are running late." He saids calmly.

 I nodded in response, My eyes dart over to the door. Two people come in, Seem's like their twins. The patch on their shirts said "Ash" and "Rage". it was two boys, One with bright red hair and one with Black hair. There was now 5 people here. "So this is one of the corporals that they've been hiding at 141..Blackout huh?" Ash said as he looked at the patch on my shirt that showed my codename. "She seems scary." Ash whispered to Rage. "Probably just an act to scare us. She won't be able to train us well." Rage scoffed. I pretended not to hear it, didn't bother me anyways. 

After a 30 minutes, Everyone came in.. I analyzed everyone as they stood and waited, "Light" one of the first that i saw, She was sorta muscular and was tall. She has black hair in a pixie cut and piercing green eyes. "Koi" another one of the first, He was short but had some build. He had blonde hair and brown eyes. "Hush" Was the tallest, almost as tall as Gaz or Ghost. He had Brunette hair, With brown blue eyes, and was muscular. The twins, "Ash" and "Rage" were the same height, Not too small not too tall, They had build. Ash had red hair while Rage had black hair. 

The others were "Yui" , "Izzi" , and "Dante".  Yui was quiet, You could tell she just started working out, She had white hair it was in a slicked back pony tail, You could tell she had bangs still some hairs peeked through, She was Albino. I was told she was one of the very few to have normal eye vision and could see well enough to join. Izzi was normal sized and her muscles complimented her height. she had Black hair with highlights of blonde, She one blue eye and one green eye. Last but not least was Dante, He was tall had grayish and brownish eyes.

I finally spoke after i counted how many people were here. "You all ready?" i said in a cold tone, They all nodded. I led them out to the back of base, we were in the middle of nowhere so it was a field of grass. "Start running, We're gonna try to run 14 miles today, 7 forward and 7 back." I said. Ash and Izzi groaned, Dante , Koi and Rage looked pumped. While Hush and Yui stood slient. I began to lead as they all followed strongly.  within the first 30 minutes, we had gotten to 4 miles. Some were still pumped, some were tiring out. I decided to tell Hush to lead since he showed much progress and was a good leader to the group, He had also been one of the only new recruits to know this route since he was recruited on a mission with the higher ups once.

i went to the back with the ones who were tiring down. As two of them, Koi and Dante were tiring they saw me slowing down to head to the back and Dante sped up. Koi however was becoming tired. He used up too much of his energy in the starting point. I pushed his back with the back of a gun , it wasn't loaded of course. "Can we get water please miss?" Koi asked. I shook my head no, He grumbled. we were becoming to slow back to much. I jammed koi as he stopped and placed his hands on his knees. 

I sighed, "You have 10 seconds to start running before i leave you here." i said, Koi sighed and managed to push through before i got to 1. We eventually caught up with the rest and were at mile 7. I went back to the front as i redirect the group to a route that was the same length and led back to base. 

As we got back to base i dismissed everyone, as they all went to the shower rooms. They all did good for their first day. 

**TIMESKIP **

[birthday month/day/2024 7:28 P.M] 

we'd start back on Monday and would do it over again for the next month and they'd all get used to it. As we came back to base, they recruits went to the recruit shower rooms as i went to my room and showered. i came back to my room and put normal clothes on, a black shirt and military pants with boots. I let my [Hair type] hair out and went to the lounge room where the rest of 141 was. 

The lights were off. Which was weird since they'd usually were here, i went over and turned the lights on.
