A Careless Soul // ghost x reader

Getting Ready For Trouble.

As we both look at eachother we both feel our cheeks get heated. That heart fluttering feeling comes back..  I saw his dirty blonde hair and piercing blue eyes more clearly..

"You look good." Ghost said with a soft yet deep voice for the first time.

"Thanks.. you too.." I say with a quiet yet unexpressive voice.

"You need help with the lace in the back?" He asked. "I can see you holding up your dress." He adds in a calm but nonchalant tone.

"Yeah." I say , slowly turning around for him.As he steps closer he grabs the lace and begins to tie it. "Let me know when it gets too tight alright?" He saids with his accent showing more brightly.

After a few seconds "okay, there." I say. Not having to hold my dress anymore. He lets go of the lace as I turn around. "Ready?" He asked. "You're forgetting something.." I say with blank eyes.."what is it?" He asked. I handed him his mask that he had to wear for the mission. "Oh forgot about that. Give me a moment, don't peak." He saids as we both turn around for him to put his mask on.

"Done.." he said as we both turn to look at eachother. That feeling rushed back to me. My face is heated and it's .. I think the word is embarrassing..

"You alright Y/N? Your whole face is red." He saids chuckling "Yeah I'm fine!" I said with a change in voice.

"Y/n.." Ghost said softly lifting my Chin, making my heart flutter even more. "Your showing emotion again." He said returning to his normal cold tone but it was more.. sweet.

"I apologize." I say as I look away trying to make the feeling fade away.

"Don't apologize, you look .. cute showing emotion. You should show it more often." Ghost said with a deep, cold but slightly sweet voice.

"Okay.." I reply with a quiet voice. Our faces were so close.. I saw him slowly moving my mask down as I started to take his mask off as  he moved towards me.i don't understand this feeling at all.. I didn't even know why I was feeling like this.. I always rejected this kind of affection or feeling.. As my eyes slowly closed and he got closer..

Gaz suddenly opened the door. "guys you ready?" He said. Me and ghost quickly backed up aske and ghost quickly put our masks back up. That "nervousness" feeling ghost told me about was shooting through the roof right now.. "learn how to knock Gaz.." ghost said with a faint blush.

"Whoops.. my apologies." Gaz said. "Hey, is Y/n showing emotion? That's a first!" Gaz said with a cheeky smile.

"Please be quiet.." I said. Trying to cover my face with my mask. Gaz let out a chuckle. "You look fine Y/N!! It's nice to see you showing some type of emotion." Gaz said with a bright smile as he put his mask on. "Hey Gaz can you leave the room for a minute? I gotta talk to Y/N really quick." Ghost said.

"Yeah man no worries." Gaz said.

As Gaz left the room ghost turned to me. "I apologize for pulling your mask down." Ghost said "it's fine." I replied

"I'm.. slowly starting to trust you. Don't expect that to be a compliment.." ghost said. I nodded as the nervous feeling went away. "Once your apart of the team.. then we'll talk.." Ghost said.

"Mhm.." I replied quietly. "Ready to go?" I said looking up at him. "Yeah." He said returning to his fully cold and nonchalant tone. As we both walked out of the room to the entrance to meet up with the others.

"Hey, you two alright?" Gaz said "you two took a little long." Price said. Me and ghost both nodded.  "You don't need any help with you dress y/n? The lace is not fully done it's supposed to go all the way down." Price asked slowly walking over to help me. As I felt his hands brush over my back I quickly flinched back.. "I apologize for flinching, but can ghost fix it?" I asked silently. Price seemed surprised. "Uh yeah .. sure no worries just hurry up alright soap is waiting for you guys!" Price said as he walked over to Gaz to talk some things over. As ghost walked behind me he began to speak as he untied the lace and began to fix it.

"Why'd you want me to do it?" Ghost asked. "I don't know.. I don't feel.." I said cutting myself off trying to think of the word..

"you don't feel comfortable?" Ghost asked. I nodded. "Mhm.. Although I haven't known you for long nor do I trust you entirely.. I'm comfortable with you helping me.. with things like this.." I said. "

Well I'm glad to hear that." Ghost said with a faint smile, you could tell from his eyes that he was smiling.. it was a .. nice feeling I guess.

"I'm almost done alright, just stay still." He saids with a soft toned voice. As he finished my lace in the back his hands brush against my back sending shivers now my spine. I stay nonchalant though,

As he fixed the lace finally tying it down he speak again. "Good girl." He said. It made me suddenly become nervous as he chuckled. "Not funny." I said.

"You'll be fine.. Let's head out." Ghost saids as we both walked to the entrance to meet soap , Gaz and price
