In memories' realm, I find my heart subdued,
No picture needed, thoughts of you ensue.
This yearning feeling, bitter and true,
Oh, how I miss you, through and through.
I tried to banish, erase from my mind,
Yet in my dreams, your presence I find.
A ghostly figure, lingering behind,
Yearning to forget, yet love I bind.
My emotions jumbled, a tangled knot,
But one thing's certain, and it's no plot,
You were a friend, I'll cherish the thought,
Longing for your return, my heart distraught.
Yet, pride holds my tongue, I dare not confess,
In silence I dwell, my heart in distress.
Until the day comes, to ease this duress,
I'll keep my love hidden, my heart a mess.
Without you near, thoughts of you arise,
Perhaps you're happier, severed our ties.
I deem myself dull, a bore in disguise,
Though I cared deeply, I apologize.
These words may go unread, lost in the tide,
Yet, may you remember, with joy beside,
Our laughter shared, moments we'd confide,
The efforts made to keep our bond untied.
I love you still, oh, friend of old days,
How I long for you in countless ways.
In yearning, I'll wander through life's maze,
Hoping our paths converge once more, always
