In darkness, feeling quite pathetic now,
Within my home, my kin, I wear a frown,
A hole within my chest, a missing piece,
It's you I crave, my heart's eternal lease.
Love songs whisper in my ears, it's true,
My thoughts, my first, my constant, it's you.
Though nothing stirs, tears well up anew,
At 10 PM, I weep for love so true.
Your embrace, a treasure I can't attain,
Beside me now, forever, my heart's refrain.
Why God permits this love, I can't construe,
A burden deep within, my love for you.
A sin unknown, yet heavy on my soul,
A price I pay, emotions take their toll.
Just you, my dear, can make my heart whole,
With your love's grace, my life regains control.
Beside me, let's defy the hours' flight,
In laughter and in talk, we'll find our light.
Dance in rain, 'neath the moon's soft delight,
Together, side by side, our love takes flight.
Beseeching you, my love, come be with me,
Fill this void, bring joy, let our hearts roam free.
In moonlight's gaze, sing with harmonious glee,
Oh, how I yearn for you, my destiny.
