Maple pushed the big cart to the place where the suitcases were dropping off. She spotted the same old man and went to him.

"Hello." She bowed to him as she stood beside him.

"Hello, kid." The man instantly smiled when he saw her, hands behind his back. "I forgot to ask your name."

"It's Maple Brown but my Korean name is Park Miran." Maple or now known as Miran smiled at him. She spotted her suitcase and picked it up.

"Miran means beautiful orchid." The man turned around to look at his suitcase.

"Is that so??" She gasped and was about to put her other suitcase on the cart but stopped and looked at him. "I didn't know. That's just the name my mom gave me."

"It's beautiful." The man grabbed the suitcase.

"Let me do it." She took it from his hand and picked it up. "You have more?"

"No, only one." The man shook his head.

"May I ask your name?" She picked up her third suitcase and put it on the cart.

"Hwang Jeongsik."

"Huh??" She tilted her head with a confused smile. The man let out a hearty laugh after seeing her reaction.

"You foreign kids." He shook his head. "You can just call me Uncle Jeong. Can you say that?"

"Uncle Jeong!" She happily said.

"Good." He nodded and looked at her three suitcases and two bags. "You brought so many things."

"I'm shifting here to study. Half of my suitcases just have my books and study materials." She picked up his suitcase as well and adjusted it on her cart. "Let me help you out."

"You are alone?" He followed her as she started pushing the cart out.

"I'm going to live with my grandparents for a while. My mom's parents live here in Incheon." She looked ahead in front of her to watch her way. "Though I think I'm going to Seoul to study."

"Is that so? I live in Seoul as well." Jeongsik chuckled.

"What a great luck." She bit her lower lip, having a hard time moving her things.

"Seoul is near Incheon. It's great to have close relatives who live nearby." He nodded as they finally reached out.

Miran's eyes landed on an elderly couple holding a big paper piece with "Maple Brown" written in English. She let out a laugh seeing that.

"I think my son is here. You can give me the suitcase. I can drag it." Jeongsik said and she put his suitcase down on the ground.

"It was nice to meet you, Uncle Jeongsik." She bowed to him as he walked away before she dragged the cart to her grandparents. "Grandpa!"

"Oh my, there you are!" Her grandfather, Park Minwoo smiled as he put down the paper piece with her name on it. She went out to hug the couple.

"You are energetic even after the long flight." Her grandmother, Park Yeojin giggled and patted Miran's back. "Why do you have so many things?"

"Half of them are my books and study materials." She pulled away and dragged the cart over to the parking lot.

"You won't get it. Our Miran is very intelligent and needs all that." Minwoo teased his wife, who glared at him.

"I'm worried if it will fit our small car." Yeojin shook her head and grabbed the lightweight bags while Miran picked up heavy ones to put them inside the car.

"Do you want to order food from outside?" Minwoo asked as he closed the trunk.

"Yes-"

"No." Yeojin cut Miran off. "You need to adapt to the culture right from the first day."

"Fine." Miran pouted.

"I have ice cream prepared in the house." Minwoo whispered to Miran, who again held a big smile. They sat in the car and drove off.

Miran opened her phone and called up her parents to inform them that she landed safely.

She then went to Instagram to see texts from her friend a few hours ago.

"Are there any good places I can visit?" She moved forward and asked her grandparents.

"Aren't you tired?" Yeojin looked back.

"Yes, but I'm fine."

"If you are fine, then help us with the restaurant today."

"Why??" Miran whined.

"We require a helper. One of the workers left." Minwoo explained.

"Did you call me here to be your worker??" Miran gasped.

"Yes." Yeojin joked before laughing.

"I'm offended." Miran gasped again before letting out a laugh. "How many workers do you have right now?"

"We need someone who manages the counter and orders. We already have one that cooks with us and one will help you as a waiter." Minwoo stopped at a red light

"But you need to handle the counter more because you can easily access the computer more."

"Grandma! I'm practically a computer software engineer, not a cashier!" Miran scoffed. "You just insulted my degree."

"We will pay you for your job." Minwoo drove again.

"Okay, I'll take the job."

"But only half." Yeojin again interrupted.

"Why half?" Miran frowned her eyebrows.

"Because you are also living under our roof. We are cutting your food payment, house rent, and other facilities from your pay." Yeojin smiled at her.

"Huh??" Miran blinked in confusion.

"Don't huh me. If it was your mom, I wouldn't even pay her. Think of this as pocket money." Yeojin opened her phone.

"Fine." Miran leaned back on the seat and opened her phone to text Ella but there was a text from her other friend.
