Chapter 43

"FINE!" He groaned and sat on his chair before crossing his legs.

"You should've at least texted me or called me to talk about this if you weren't comfortable showing me your face." She crossed her arms.

"I wanted to talk face-to-face about this." He told the truth.

"Then, you should've at least dropped a text about this!" She yelled a little. "You acted like a total coward and just ignored me! Is that a manly thing to do??"

"I'm sorry." He dropped his head down.

"Seriously. You know how difficult it was for me to concentrate on normal things? I couldn't even discuss it with my friends, considering you are a celebrity which they follow."

"I'm sorry."

"I even texted your friends, individually to ask if you are okay. I couldn't even text everyone because it would make me look like a desperate girl."

"I'm sorry."

"It was not about feelings or shit. You didn't land a single hi or hello text, not even a call. That got me worried for you."

"I'm sorry."

"Stop saying sorry!!" She stood up and screamed at him. He looked up and saw how angry and frustrated she looked. "Why are men like this?!"

"I- Park Miran." He stood up. "I'm deeply sorry for whatever I did. I'll make it up to you."

"You know, you avoiding me like this just showed how insecure and cowardly you are."

She went closer to him and poked his chest.

"I don't care if you are a fucking celebrity or the president of this country. Fuck your celebrity image. Your celebrity image is already ruined because of what you did."

He let her poke her chest at every line she spoke.

"I'm not hearing any more of the serious talk you want to do regarding your liking towards me. I'm very angry right now, Jeon Wonwoo."

She gave him a side eye as she walked to the door. She opened it and walked out. Mingyu was in the living room and looked at her when she walked out.

"I'm sorry. I should've just forced him to talk to you." He stood up and bowed to her.

"It's not your fault. He is not a child that needs to be taught what he needs to do." She bowed back to him. "Also, I'm sorry for coming into your house with shoes on."

He nodded while watching her walk to the door and out of it.

Mingyu walked to Wonwoo's room. The door was opened. He peeked in and saw Wonwoo sitting on the chair with his hands covering his face.

"Park Miran was crying by the way." Mingyu alerted Wonwoo, who looked up. "You also?"

"I fucked up again." Wonwoo looked down and removed his glasses to rub his left eye. "I made her angry and she even cried."

"Well, I'll be honest. It was your fault." The younger man walked inside the room and crossed his arms. "You should've talked to her right after that."

"I'm regretting it so much." He hiccuped as tears streamed down his cheeks. "I should've listened to you and went to her right away. Everything is now messed up."

"Well." Mingyu sighed and scratched his arm while looking at the wall. His eyes landed on the pictures of Wonwoo and Miran pasted together.

"She is not going to talk to me ever again. I lost the girl I genuinely liked after so long." Wonwoo breathed heavily and closed his eyes.

"I don't think she is like that." Mingyu turned back to Wonwoo. "She is not someone who will just ghost you. You both are too close for her to do that."

"I can't. I don't know. My mind is a mess." Wonwoo looked up at Mingyu with his red eyes. "I'm worried if she does something bad."

"Do you have her friend's contact?"

"I- I don't." Wonwoo shook his head and grabbed his phone. He opened his Instagram. "I do know their names."

"Check her followers in her private account. She must've added you to her private account."

"She did." Wonwoo nodded and sobbed. He checked the followers and saw the familiar names. "Here they are."

"Message them later."

"That's what he did." Miran looked down at her feet as she walked away from the society that he lived in.

"That's messed up." Ella spoke from the other side. As soon as Miran was out of Wonwoo's apartment, she instantly dialled Ella and told her everything.

"I'm having so many doubts about him now." Miran looked ahead and wiped her nose as she tried to control her tears. "There is a red in every green flag."

"But Maple, you know how long he has feelings for you?"

"No idea."

"Isak already knew about it since the day of your move here. She told me herself."

"That long?!'

"Yes! Now, if they knew from that time imagine how before he was feeling about it. Yet, did he ever make you uncomfortable?"

"No..."

"You told me yourself. He was polite and never dared to touch you. He didn't even flirt and respected you a lot. He controlled himself for such a long time."

Miran stopped walking after hearing those words.

"In a dating scandal, even if it's a man's fault then the woman gets bashed. I don't think Wonwoo will do something bad, considering the things you told me."

"I'll give it some time."

"Talk about it to him in a few days but do it for sure! Don't let it stretch for too long. You will not only lose the man you like but also your friend."
