Wonwoo dropped the paper bag from his hand and rushed to the girl laying on the ground with her eyes closed. She had her office clothes on.

"Miran??" He got to his knees and pushed her to make her lay on her back. He gently landed a few slaps on her face but she didn't open her eyes.

"Miran!" Hyunmi also rushed in.

"Water!" Wonwoo looked up at Hyunmi, who ran away to the kitchen. He again looked down at her and put his ear on her chest.

She was breathing fine.

"Love, wake up." He called her out as he moved up. His hand landed on her forehead and his eyes went wide in shock. "Miran!"

He instantly got on his knees. Sliding his arm under her back and her knees before he stood up.

Hyunmi came into the room to witness Wonwoo standing in the living room with a worried look staring at Hyunmi.

"Moon Hyunmi, we need to rush to the hospital. She got way too high fever." Wonwoo looked at Miran breathing heavily.

"You have just returned from the tour. You can't be spotted right now." Hyunmi walked past him and yelled, "Isak! Come out!!"

"I can't leave her alone! I just returned after a month and this is what I got??" Wonwoo turned around to face Hyunmi.

"Jeon Wonwoo, we can't take risks. You know that well." Hyunmi turned around and walked to the key stand on the wall. "You are not thinking straight right now."

"But-"

"Miran? Mister Jeon?" Isak came out of her room. She was also fully dressed, indicating that she also got back from work.

"You can drop her in the car and come to the hospital but separately." Hyunmi wore her shoes. Wonwoo had no choice but to follow what Hyunmi was saying.

"What did the doctor say?" That was Wonwoo's first question when he reached Miran's bed. He wore a proper mask and hood to cover himself.

"She hasn't been eating properly and overworking herself in this hot summer. It's probably a heatstroke." Isak sighed and pushed back her glasses.

"She used to call me right away after the job and just sleep without eating anything." Wonwoo walked closer and stood beside her. He wanted to hold her hand but he knew, he couldn't in public, especially in a crowded place with so many people.

"I yelled at her so many times to take care of herself but she just-" Eunseo put her elbow on the bed and held her head. "Isak almost gave me a heart attack when she called me."

"She told me that she already ate in the office." Wonwoo held the edge of the bed while staring at Miran sleeping.

"We can take her home when she wakes up." Hyunmi came back while holding a paper in her hand. "The doctor wrote medicines."

"Give me. I'll buy them." Wonwoo walked to her. "You all already helped her. I can do that." Hyunmi handed him the paper without any questions.

"I think you should go home after this." Eunseo looked at Wonwoo. "Come and meet her tomorrow. You must also be tired. We don't want another situation like this."

"I'll stay."

"Like I said, no. She will wake up soon. Come and meet her in the house tomorrow. Don't stay here in public for too long."

"You got me so worried, you know that!" Wonwoo said as soon as he entered Miran's room. The girl on the bed didn't even have time to register his presence in the room.

"Wonwoo-"

"Didn't you say that you already ate, huh? You lied, huh? What the hell, Miran? Didn't you see what your lying caused!" Wonwoo pointed at her as he was talking while walking to her.

Miran just smiled at him. He was still talking but stopped when he saw her weak smile. He seriously couldn't be mad whenever she was smiling, even a small and weak one.

He just sighed and dropped to his knees while putting his hands on the bed. "Park Miran, you don't know how much panic you caused."

"I'm sorry." She let out a chuckle as she put her elbow on the bed before pushing herself up to lean against the bed back. "It's just, the work is too much."

Wonwoo looked up, watching her adjust the blanket on her legs. Her hair was a mess and there were dark circles visible under her eyes.

Without make-up, they looked more prominent.

He frowned as he grabbed her hand. She looked down at him as he held her hand with both of his hands and put it on his forehead.

"Please, I was so scared. I almost cried when I saw you almost lifeless on the ground." He closed his eyes and bit his lower lip.

Miran looked down at her lap.

"You scold me and yell at me even for skipping an hour of sleep. Why don't you apply the same things to yourself? Why are you hard on yourself?"

"I don't know..."

"What do you mean you don't know??" He looked up at her. "Stop it, Miran. Stop always smiling and pretending everything is fine. A little bit of foundation can't hide everything."

Miran's eyes started to sting.

"I seriously hate it. I just know you are still going to smile even if you are on your deathbed."

At those words of his, Miran brought her hand up to rub her left eye.

"Didn't we promise to say whenever something is bothering each other?" He put her hand down and stood up. "Why don't you share your sadness with me? You told me to do mine to you but why can't you? Are you my therapist or my girlfriend?"

"Don't say that." She wiped her cheek.

"Miran, why am I here? If you can share happiness with me then why not sadness?" Wonwoo looked up at the ceiling. "I feel like I failed as a boyfriend."

"You didn't!" She instantly looked up and grabbed his arm.

"Then why?" He looked down at her. "Did I miss something in doing? Why don't you be yourself properly?"

"I just..." Her fingers that were holding his arm had slowly started shaking. "I don't know."

"Is it because of your ex?"

She went silent and looked down at his stomach. He just let out a sigh before sitting beside her. She looked at her lap.

"I'm sorry, Wonwoo. I'm trying." She let go of his arm and covered her face. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She kept on chanting the same words again and again.

Wonwoo removed his glasses and put them aside. He put his hand behind her back and brought her near as she put her head on his shoulder.

"There is just so much ongoing. My work is hectic and as a new employee, it sucks. Everything is a mess. I'm not getting time to even look at myself."

Wonwoo stayed silent, listening to her finally ranting out about something serious. It's the second time she had ever done that after the rooftop.

"I felt too weak to even get up from bed to eat something. Every night, I go to bed thinking I won't wake up the next day. Yesterday, I thought I almost died as I lay on the floor."

"I came at the right time." Wonwoo held her hand with his other hand while his other hand caressed her head.

"Thank you."
