Brinda's pov
"He's out of danger now but is still unconscious. He will wake up soon but make sure he gets proper care both physically and mentally." Riddhi informed everyone i finally sighed in relief.
His family went inside to see him one by one. I don't know. I mean, i couldn't go inside to meet him. I don't have any right to, especially the satya vachan me and bhai just gave to Mr. Rathore definitely won't help!
"He's fine now, bri! Let's head back. It's not like Mr. Rathore would let you see him." Bhai said.
"I have some important work, bhai. I'll come after that." I told bhai.
"Bri, have you seen yourself. It looks like you were in the O.T, not Adhvik Rathore." Bhai said, looking at my face.
"It's fine, bhai. I am okay now, and trust me, it's very urgent." I tried to convince bhai.
"Okay, first you and Riddhi come with me. Both of you look like you haven't eaten for days. First, eat something, then you can leave." Bhai said.
"Perfect." Riddhi replied before me.
"Bhai, i don't feel like eating right now." I said.
"Fine, if you want to be stubborn, then be it! Just don't get yourself into any trouble." Bhai said, and i rolled my eyes at him.
"Yeah, whatever." I replied.
"Hey! What about me? Am i still getting the treat?" Riddhi asked, pouting.
She is a kid!
"Of course, bache! You are the only one who appreciates a brother like me!" Bhai said, mocking me.
"Yeah, let's go to the hospital's cafeteria only since i have to get back to work." Riddhi added.
"Wait, bri! I'll get a sandwich and juice for you! At least have it on the way!" Riddhi said.
"Guys! I had breakfast and it's just 7 in the evening! I am not starving! You two enjoy." I said and finally left.
I drove my car to Shrivastav's restaurant. I barged into the restaurant without caring about anyone.
"Swastik?"
"Swastik?"
"Swastik?"
"Where the hell are you, Mr. Shrivastav!?"I started looking for him.
"Brinda? Hi." Swastik said, looking at me smiling softly.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked sternly.
"What? I love cooking, that's why...?" He replied, confused.
"Adhvik attempted suicide." I said in a tone audible to him only, staring deep into his soul, and i could see a flicker of emotions in his eyes, which i failed to point out.
"What?" He almost yelled and then held my wrist, taking me to his kitchen area from the sitting area.
He asked the chefs and waiters to leave in order to get some privacy.
"You heard that right! You wanted this only, na!" I asked, looking at him.
"What are you even talking about, Brinda?" He asked, frowning as if still not getting anything.
"Stop! Just stop it! This shitty act of yours...! Just drop it for God's sake!" I yelled, hitting my hand on the counter in anger.
"I am still not getting what you are saying! Please elaborate, at least." He said, acting innocent, adding fuel to my anger.
"You said you met Ms. Sharma, after a long time than why do i have some cctv footage of you meeting her several times before the incident?" I asked, showing him the footage on my phone.
"What incident are you even talking about, and what does it have to do with Mr. Rathore's suicide?" He asked frustratingly.
"Stop playing dumb Mr. Shrivastav! If you think you can do anything and escape acting all innocent, then you are very wrong!" I said sternly.
"Why are you even here when you already declared me the culprit for something i don't even know! You are acting like i have committed some crime!" He asked.
"Why? Why did you do this to him? What did Adhvik do to you!?" I yelled in frustration.
"What the hell did i do, Brinda?" He said sternly, losing his temper with each word he said.
"Stop acting like you don't know what i am talking about!! Why did you frame him for such a heinous act! What did he do to you?" I yelled.
"He didn't do anything to me! It was his freaking father!!" He yelled back, accidentally spilling the beans.
"He is a different person from his father!! Why don't anyone fucking understand that!! You do realize he tried to kill himself because of you!!" I yelled again.
"I freaking don't care!" He said, and i lost it.
I slapped him right across his face and i don't even have an ounce of guilt. He dared to hurt my Adhu."Is someone's life a bloody joke to you!? Would you be able to live with the guilt of taking someone's life!?" I yelled as he looked at me with bloodshot eyes touching his cheek, which turned red due to the impact of the slap.
"It was supposed to be Abhimanyu, not Adhvik! I never planned to trap him!" He yelled, clenching his fist.
"Why didn't you clear the things then!? Why were you lying the whole time? You have no idea what he has been through!!" I yelled.
"Really, Ms. Brinda Mittal!! But. Why. Do. You. Care? As much as i know and heard about you, you are a freaking selfish person who doesn't give damn about others!!" He yelled, changing the topic.
"Changing the topic now, are we?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.
"Trust me Brinda i don't give a fuck if i get arrested right now! I have nothing to lose!" He said, smirking at me.
"Careful when you say you got nothing to lose because Mr. Shrivastav, you won't even realize the weight of these words until you actually lose everything." I said in a dangerously calm tone.
"Honestly, Brinda, i never intended it to be Adhvik. I have no personal issues with him. All my issues, problems, and hatred are for that bastard Abhimanyu Rathore!" Swastik said, clenching his fist.
"And still you dragged an innocent in this mess, but don't think it's over yet, Mr. Swastik Shrivastav because i am ready to do anything to prove Adhvik innocent." I warned him.
"I honestly don't care. I would have accepted the truth to prove his innocence if i had fulfilled what i wanted to, but i still haven't, so i am sorry, Brinda, I can't do anything!" Swastik said.
"You destroyed his life within a snap of your finger. Anyway, now you got yourself your personal hater, a sworn enemy i.e me and I'll do anything to destroy you!" I threatened him in a deadly serious tone and was about to leave.
"My mother also became the prey of Abhimanyu Rathore just like yours, but the only difference is that your dad reached there on time while my dad couldn't." As soon as i heard these words, my steps halted.
