Brinda's pov

"You destroyed his life within a snap of your finger. Anyway, now you got yourself your personal hater i.e me and I'll do anything to destroy you!" I threatened him in a deadly serious tone and was about to leave.

"My mother also became the prey of Abhimanyu Rathore just like yours, but the only difference is that your dad reached there on time while my dad couldn't." As soon as i heard these words, my steps halted.

I never knew i could hate a person this much before today. I already hated that monster so much, but now! Now i just want to stab him.

I turned back to look at him, who quickly wiped a tear from his eye.

"You really think that i enjoy hurting people? No! I am just giving back what i got! That day, it was supposed to be Abhimanyu Rathore, not Adhvik Rathore! I knew after that the shares of his beloved business would reach all time low, and he would be behind the bars, and then i would give a petition to reopen my mother's case." He said, looking into my eyes. His eyes were filled with pain, anger, and guilt.

"People would already be enraged at him, and then reopening of my mother's case would have added fuel to the fire. I have proofs but not very strong because Abhimanyu Rathore destroyed them all, and so this way, my mother could have got justice, which she must still be longing for. I have lived all these years with the goal of taking revenge from that filthy creature, and i will take my mother's revenge at any cost." He added.

"How did you know about my mother?" I asked, confused. I know i am selfish but i am not ashamed of having my family as my first priority.

"I have been planning to take down that Abhimanyu ever since i found out how he destroyed my family. I looked for people who hate him as much as i do or could help me get my revenge." He said.

"So you were stalking my family?" I asked, feeling creepy.

"Stalking is not the appropriate word. I just heard of the infamous rivalry between Mittal's and Rathore's, so i thought i might get benefit out of it." He added.

"Still doesn't explain you having such a personal detail about my family!" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"Well, when i found out that your father and Rathore were batch mates while looking into that Rathore's history, i became curious. I looked into the history of Mittal Enterprises and befriended some of the oldest employees. Well, it wasn't difficult for getting them spill the tea." He said, and i want to punch him so bad for invading our privacy.

"So what are you planning to do?" I asked.

"Are you perhaps going to help me, Ms. Brinda Mittal?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I hate Abhimanyu Rathore as much as you do and you are right i am a selfish person but if it's about that Abhimanyu Rathore i can assure you, if you'd be the one to stab him, I'd be the one passing you the sharpest knife standing beside you witnessing when the knife would peirce his skin so painfully that we could hear his screams even from hell but......." Before i could finish my sentence, i heard clapping sounds behind me.

"And here i thought you were helping us..... that how great person you are..... that how i would ever be able to pay you back!" I turned back, listening to Nishtha's voice.

Shit!

"Nishtha, it's not what....." I tried to explain, but she cut me off. Honestly, i don't even know what would i even tell her if she gave me a chance.

"Let it be Ms. Mittal! Just let it be! I can't even believe what i just heard!!" Nishtha said, looking at us with glossy eyes, more like Swastik?
Does she know him?

"It's not like that...." Swastik tried to say but was again interrupted by Nishtha.

"Do you really think that I'd trust any of your stupid lies now?" Nishtha almost yelled, looking at me. A tear escaped her eyes.

"I trusted you.... so much! And.... and you... you just! I feel like a total idiot right now!!" Nishtha yelled, looking at me, and i am not sure if she is still talking to me.

"Nishtha." I tried to hold her hand, but she jerked it.

"Please just stop it! Our family is already facing so much trouble... humiliation! Just stop it now. Don't you guys have a little empathy for us?" Nishtha asked, looking at me.

"Nishtha, trust me. I didn't do any of this. I was genuinely trying to help Adhu....vik." i tried to explain.

"Genuinely trying to help?" Nishtha said and let out a humorless laugh.
"You want me to trust you when you are here planning to torture my father!" Nishtha added.

"It's not what it looks like and about your father, then yeah, i mean every single word you heard!" I said honestly.

"Just stay away from us. I thought you really loved my brother and that you were trying to look for the one responsible for all this. Now i doubt if it was you two who did all this." Nishtha said as her voice started cracking.

"I'd never do anything that'll hurt Adhvik!" I said a bit loudly.

"Who knows? You seem like a completely different person to me than the Brinda from a few hours ago!" She said in the same tone.

"It was me. She didn't do any of it." Swastik said, defending me?

"You guys seem to be very close. Defending and all, huh! Well, you two definitely managed to make a fool out of us. I was thinking Ms. Mittal was looking for the culprit the whole time when she was, in fact, helping the culprit!" Nishtha said harshly, wiping the tears that escaped her eyes.

"I had nothing to do with whatever happened with Adhvik. Your father is not a good person. He's not just a horrible father. He's a horrible person." I said, taking a deep breath.

"You really think i will trust you? Adhvik is in hospital for god sake stop it both of you! Leave our family alone." Nishtha said and was about to leave.

"I don't have any grudges from your family. It's just your father, and i will destroy him!" Swastik said, looking straight into Nishtha's eyes, who just blinked back the tears formed in her eyes.

"He may not be an ideal father, but i love him, and I'll not let you two harm him." Nishtha said in a warning tone and left.

"How do you know Nishtha?" I turned towards Swastik.

"I... I don't know her." Swastik lied. His eyes clearly showed he was lying.

"Did you or did you not drag her into this mess as well?" I asked sternly.

"You love Adhvik Rathore. No wonder you were so invested in finding out about the culprit." He said, dodging my question.

"You love to change the topic, don't you? Answer my question." I said sternly.

"We are still not working together, so i am not answerable to you." He said in the same tone.

"Fine, don't answer me. It's your personal matter anyway. Just make sure you rectify your mistake of dragging Adhvik into all this because the consequences won't be good for you." I declared.

"You know his sister would tell him everything, and he'll hate you after this, then why do you even care." Swastik asked.

"We are not working together, and so i am not answerable to you." I said, mocking him.

I am now going back to the hospital. I need to talk to Adhvik. The stupidity he just did. The misinterpretation of the conversation and the truth.
