Adhvik's pov

I opened my eyes to find myself at an unfamiliar place. Am i dead? But before i could think of anything else, i was pulled into a bone crushing hug by someone.

"What the hell was that, huh!!?" I heard Maa sobbing.

Shit!!! What did i even do? Why did i do it!? And even if i did, why couldn't i just do it properly!!

"I am sorry." I murmured guilty of my action.

"You could have talked to us! You didn't even think about us once?" Nishtha said, looking at me with hurt filled in her eyes.

"You thought this was the solution!" Rudra almost yelled while wiping his tears.

"I... i am really sorry." I murmured.

"Are you okay?" A concerned Naina asked, sitting beside me, and i just nodded. Dad was just standing there without saying a word.

"Rudra, take Maa and Papa home with you. You both take rest, me and naina are here." Nishtha said, and Rudra nodded and left without looking at me.

It was just me, Naina and Nishtha, in the room, and awkward silence. What are they even supposed to say? They are definitely mad at me.

"Naina, will you give this idiot company. I'll be back in an hour or so?" Nishtha asked Naina.

"Yeah, sure." Naina said softly, and Nishtha left without sparing me another glance.

"You won't even talk to me now?" I asked Naina in a low tone, and she shot me a death glare.

"Talk? So you do know that you can talk!!" Naina said angrily.

"I am sorry." I said, having mo excuses or explanations.

"Sorry? Really, Adhvik! Your sorry will fix everything!? You have no idea what we all have been through!?" Naina said, hurt evident in her voice.

"I...." Before i could say anything else, she interrupted me.

"You should rest now." She said, tucking me in. Soon after, sleep took over me.

*Next morning

It's really nice weather today. It's raining cats and dogs outside. I love rain.
It's so chaotic yet so peaceful when it rains.

Naina had to leave for her place urgently, and i am going to get discharged in a few hours anyway.

Nishtha was sitting on the couch beside my bed, looking dull and sad. She looked like she cried her eyes out the whole night. But it's not about me. I mean, i am okay now.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Huh?" She looked at me confused.

"You cried. Why?" I asked, looking at her.

"Because apparently i have the most idiot brother in the whole world!" Nishtha said, forcing a laugh.

"Stop dodging the question. Why are you so sad? Who hurted you?" I asked sternly.

"Well, you didn't give anyone else a chance to hurt me! You are pretty good at this job!" She taunted. I know she's mad, but not now!

"Nishtha!" I said, raising my voice.

"What!? I am not a kid! Stop it, okay? I can manage things on my own!" She said, getting up from the couch, passing me water and my medicines.

"You may not be a kid, but you still are my sister!" I said, taking the medicine from her hand and gulping it.
