Chapter-33

Brinda's pov

(A/n: I mistakenly mentioned Adhvik's office in the last chapter instead of Brinda's. Although i edited it, but just in case you missed it.)

"You'd have to get retired from your company." I said, and his smile vanished.

I was about to continue when i heard a knock on the door.

"Mrs. Sehgal wants to meet you right now. She seems to be mad. Should i send her in?" Ms. Anita said, and my eyes widened.

Like, thank god she didn't barge in directly like she always does. Otherwise, she'd have murdered him and then me.

"Is she outside the cabin?" I asked, and she nodded.

"I hope she doesn't know about Mr. Rathore!" I said, and she again nodded while Adhu was staring at me with a frown.

"Just 2 minutes." I said, and she nodded and left.

"You need to hide!" I said to Adhu.

"What? Why?" He asked sulking.

"Riddhi is pregnant, and her mood swings are horrible, and if she saw you here, she might stab you! So hide!!" I said, pushing him under my desk as i sat on the couch in my cabin.

"Why the hell are you in office!!? Don't you get that you are supposed to rest!! Idiot!! By the way, you are still outdated. Business. Magazine!!" Riddhi yelled as she entered inside the cabin.

"Stop calling me that you inflated balloon!" I retorted. Ugh! I know she's pregnant, and it was mean, but it's Riddhi!

"You mean little punk! Come here before i smack you ass!!" She said, opening her arms.

God! Adhu is listening to all this. Eww! But we don't behave like this under normal circumstances. Pregnant Riddhi just needs filters for her mouth!

I got up only to be engulfed in a bone crushing hug! She might hurt my dear nephew/ niece if she keeps hugging me this tightly.

"God! You might hurt Navya/ Naksh!" I said, breaking the hug. Navya and Naksh are the name they shortlisted for this little bundle of joy.

"Don't worry! My baby is used to this." She said, caressing her bump, and before i knew i was again engulfed in a bone crushing hug.

"What's with you Sehgals suddenly being so clingy! Are you by any chance trying to choke me to death!" I said, breaking the hug, looking at Krish.

"Are you okay?" Krish asked worriedly.

"Other than you guys trying to choke me, i am perfectly fine!" I scoffed.

"Bhabhi was so worried that i thought something happened to you!" Krish added.

"She came to the office when i clearly told her to rest at home or at least go for her stupid work from home thing!" Riddhi said, rolling her eyes.

"Where's your husband, huh? Nowadays, he doesn't stick around you like your shadow!" I asked.

"Please don't start the topic. I can't even tell you how i pushed bhai to go for a meeting and accompany bhabhi here!" Krish said, whinning like a kid.

"Aren't you too free nowadays, Mr. Actor!" I said, looking at him, narrowing my eyes.

"Well, you see, i had night shifts for a few days and had an off today, so i thought you might be missing my company!" Krish said, shrugging his shoulders.

Adhu is still under the table, but i can't just push these two out! Ugh!

"You are right! Let's go to the cafeteria of the office then!" I suggested hoping they'd leave my cabin.

"Did Brinda Mittal just accept that she was missing my company! I am flattered."  Krish said dramatically.

"Why do i feel like i am third wheeling you two!" Riddhi said, dropping herself on the couch.

God! Adhu is here, you idiot stop it!! I internally screamed.

"Let's go now. We'll have ice cream." I said, and Riddhi jumped like a kid.

"Bhabhi, be careful! Bhai will kill me if he finds even a little scratch on you!" Krish said worriedly.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever!" Riddhi said with a dramatic eye roll.

We were about to leave my cabin when suddenly the door slammed open, presenting none other than Riddhi's husband!

"Speak of the devil!" I murmured under my breath.

"You know that the validity of me being nice to you was over 3 days ago, right?" Agastya jiju said mockingly.

"You! Nice? To me!? Very funny!" I said with a sarcastic laughter.

"Cupcake, tell her to shut up!" Agastya jiju sulked.

"Yeah, cupcake, go on!" I said, glaring at jiju.

"I always thought my best friend and my husband would become friends too, but look at you two!! Fighting  like 5 year olds!! And Agastya, you!! We are about to have a baby!! So just stop being a baby!!!" Riddhi yelled in frustration.

"Yeah, stop being a baby!! Let's go and eat ice cream!" I said, trying to push everyone out. God, why do these people have to discuss everything in my cabin only?

"Yeah, you little brat! Stop bribing my wife with ice cream!" Agastya jiju said in frustration.

"What is the point of this conversation exactly?" Krish asked before i could give a fitting reply to the so-called husband of Riddhi!

"Your brother is an.....! I can't say it. Otherwise, he'll complain to maa, but i wanted to say asshole!" I said in a duh tone.

"You are sleeping on couch, Mr. Agastya Sehgal and you, Ms. Brinda Mittal! I am taking your laptop with me!!" Riddhi yelled, going towards my desk to take the laptop.

God! Adhu is there!! Shit. I quickly rushed towards my desk and picked up my laptop, handing it to her.

"What?" She said, eying me suspiciously.

"My laptop." I said, trying to sound genuine. Keyword being trying.

"This is your office laptop only, right?" Riddhi asked, and i nodded.

"You are hiding something! Aren't you?" Riddhi said, raising an eyebrow.

"What! No." I said, gulping.

"Liar! I know you since kindergarten! And you are clearly lying." Riddhi stated. She's not wrong, though.

"Bhabhi, Brinda! Leave it. Let's go now." Krish said, saving me from ACP Riddhima!
Thank you, Krish!

"This isn't over yet." Riddhi said, stomping her foot on mine as she left dragging me with her.

We were having such a serious conversation, but Riddhi!!

God! This woman!
Riddhi was always very moody but pregnant, Riddhi! God bless her husband!
He deserves it, though!
He stole her from me. This is the least he could get for this.
