HOW TO BE LOVED
4 – The Model
Becky's POV
Instead of calling it quits with my girlfriend, I decided to put in extra effort to strengthen our relationship. I reminded myself that the only thing I could control was myself, so I focused on improving and letting go of negativity and expectations, even though Friend's actions hurt.
Two months after completing my Master's in Business, I joined our family's company, not as an owner, but as a regular employee. Now, I hold the position of Marketing Manager at Armstrong Advertising, and I'm truly grateful for the opportunity. It demonstrates that my hard work pays off, regardless of my family background.
Friend didn't agree with my decision to start as a regular employee. She preferred me to enter as the heir of the company so she could boast about me being her girlfriend. But that's not what I wanted. I aim to earn my success, and even though she doesn't agree, I simply shrug off her comments.
Despite Friend's disagreement with my decision, I remained steadfast in my choice. I believe in earning my success through hard work and dedication, rather than relying on my family background. While it's disappointing that Friend couldn't support me in this, I've learned to focus on my goals and not let her opinions affect me.
Working at Armstrong Advertising has been a rewarding experience. As the Marketing Manager, I've been able to contribute meaningfully to the company's success and prove my capabilities beyond any doubt. This role has shown me that with determination and effort, I can achieve anything, regardless of others' expectations.
In the conference room, the team was buzzing with energy as we gathered for a key meeting. As the Marketing Manager, I knew it was important to strike the right balance between being firm and supportive.
"Hey everyone," I started, acknowledging everyone's effort. "I appreciate your dedication to this project. We're on the right track, but we need to stay sharp to meet our deadline."
There was a moment of silence before Sarah, one of our team members, spoke up. "The workload seems overwhelming. Can we really deliver on time?"
I looked at Sarah with confidence. "Let's break down the tasks and share the load. Together, we can get this done."
John leaned in, sounding enthusiastic. "I've got some cool ideas to spice up the campaign. Can we try them out?"
"Definitely," I replied, nodding. "Let's brainstorm; your ideas could make a big difference."
"I think we should start looking for new faces for our project release," John suggested.
Sarah agreed. "Fresh models could bring a new perspective and connect with our audience."
"I reckon we should explore all options, including up-and-coming models," I suggested.
Sarah raised an eyebrow. "Anyone in mind?"
I paused, choosing my words carefully. "There's someone I've got in mind. She's been making waves lately and could bring something unique to our project. Her name's Friend Torfan."
Emily caught on quickly. "Should I reach out to her for an audition?"
I kept it professional. "Yes, let's see if she fits our project."
As the discussion continued and Emily started organizing auditions, John found another potential candidate on his laptop.
"Check out Sarocha Chankimha," John said, showing us his screen. "She's getting popular in the modeling scene. Her look could add some flair to our project."
