HOW TO BE LOVED

11 – Difficult to love.

Freen's POV

In the lively world of Armstrong Advertising, every shoot felt like a carefully orchestrated dance of creativity and precision. Stepping onto the set for yet another project, I couldn't help but soak in the buzz of anticipation that always accompanied these productions.

Once again, I found myself in the spotlight, representing a big-name brand, and usually, Becky would be right there with us, visiting the set. But this time, she was nowhere to be found. It wasn't the first time her absence had left me scratching my head.

I mean, Becky's usually all hands-on deck, especially for shoots like these. So, her no-show got me wondering if something big was going down behind the scenes. Was she tied up with other stuff, or was there more to it? Is she having a vacation to heal her broken heart?

Thinking back on the night I saw her crying, it's hard to ignore the messy stuff with Friend. But despite all that drama, here she was, still part of the shoot. It's a testament to Becky's professionalism, I guess, letting her cheating ex-girlfriend continue with the job.

The set was a whirlwind of activity. Makeup artists flitted around, touching up foundation and adjusting hair. Assistants darted back and forth, adjusting lights and ensuring everything was in place. The photographer, Max, a tall guy with a mane of curly hair and an infectious energy, was setting up his camera, checking angles and lighting.

"Alright, everyone, let's get ready for the first shot!" Max called out, clapping his hands. He turned to me, his eyes bright with enthusiasm. "You ready to rock this?"

I nodded, feeling the familiar mix of nerves and excitement.

"Great! For this first shot, I want you to turn slightly to your left and look over your shoulder," Max directed, positioning himself behind the camera. "Give me a confident, almost playful look. Imagine you're teasing the viewer, inviting them into the scene."

I shifted my weight and turned as he instructed, tilting my head just so. "Like this?" I asked, trying to capture the mood he described.

"Perfect!" Max grinned, snapping a few shots. "Hold that pose... and now, soften your gaze a bit. Less intense, more inviting."

I adjusted my expression, trying to channel the vibe he was going for. The camera clicked rapidly, capturing each subtle change.

"Beautiful! Now, let's try something different," Max said, lowering the camera for a moment. "I want you to walk towards me, slowly, with purpose. Think of it like you're on a mission. Strong, confident strides."

I took a deep breath and started walking, my steps measured and deliberate. Max's encouragement kept the energy high.

"Yes, that's it! Own it!" he shouted, snapping more photos. "You're a powerhouse, unstoppable!"

Just then, Friend stepped onto the set, ready for the next series of shots. Despite the information I know that she's a cheating bitch, I understood the importance of professionalism on set. We exchanged a brief, acknowledging nod, I was ready to put aside personal feelings for the sake of the job.

"Okay, now I want some dynamic shots with both of you," Max announced. "Start by facing each other, like you're having an intense, yet friendly, conversation. The chemistry between you is what we're aiming to capture."

Friend and I moved into position, our eyes locking as we got into character. Max directed us through various poses, capturing the energy and tension between us.
