Mal was caught off guard when she heard someone ask, "What are you still doing here?" She turned around to see Ben standing next to her locker. "Oh, I just forgot something in my locker. What are you doing here?" she asked, throwing his question back at him.

"I was coming to drop off some books at my locker when I saw you running in a hurry, everything okay?" He moved closer and had a clear view of her locker, Mal noticed and tried to block his view, but this only piqued his interest. She slammed the locker shut before he could register what it was, but it was too late - he already knew. "I thought you donated that to the museum a few months ago?"

"Yeah, I don't use it, but you see, we didn't have much growing up on the Isle, so we're very possessive of what we do, which makes it hard to let go." She lied through her teeth, it seemed to work as he dropped the matter.

"Alright, well are you sure you're good?"

"Mhm, all good here, carry on with what you were doing."

He looked at her one last time before leaving in the opposite direction of his locker. She opened her locker once he was out of sight and took it out, she couldn't risk leaving it there overnight.

She hid it between her other books before slamming the door shut again and heading towards the dorms. She had to make one last stop before reaching her room, she had to see Carlos. He had asked her about something he needed help with, she couldn't remember what it was but it seemed important to him so she was going to make time for him before finally getting the chance to relax.

Just as she reached the entrance to the dormitories, the young reporter from earlier jumped out of a bush. A bush! Mal nearly dropped her books from the fright, she tried pushing past her but the reporter wasn't going away.

"Mal, what do you have to say about your involvement in Maleficent's attack during the coronation?"

Mal had a lot to say actually, most of it being curse words, but she kept her cool and ran to the boy's dorm as fast as she could praying that their door was unlocked so she didn't have to be out in the hall with that leech any longer.

Luckily, the door was unlocked and once inside, she shut the door behind her as hard as possible and locking it. If a reporter was willing to hide behind a bush to get to her, she wouldn't put it past her to try to barge in after her.

As Mal leaned against the door to catch her breath, her eyes flashed green possessing her for a moment, all the stress was catching up to her and messing with her magic.

"Woah, easy girl." Carlos was in front of her checking up on her, a nice gesture that seemed to bother her. "What? Do you think this is so easy? You don't have people shoving cameras at you or chasing you to get answers to their stupid questions every single time you try to get a moment to yourself!" She snapped at him shoving his hand away from her. Her frustration was understandable but no reason to take it out on him.

"I'm sorry, I know that what you're doing for Ben and me isn't easy, that's actually what I wanted to talk to you about."

"Don't you ever miss screaming at people and making them run away from you?" She asked, she seemed to not register what Carlos had said to her nor did she feel the need to apologize for snapping at him. "No, you're thinking of my mother, and I was usually on the receiving end of that so no, not really." Mal just wanted one of her friends to agree with her, agree that they miss rule breaking and getting to do whatever they wanted. She held out hope that at least Jay would agree with her.
