Nina and Ian exchanged worried glances as they noticed May wincing in pain, her burnt leg clearly bothering her. Concern etched across their faces, they gently suggested staying the night to help care for her.
"We can make dinner and ensure you're comfortable," Nina offered, her voice soft with concern.
Ian nodded in agreement. "And we can start looking for Noah tomorrow. You shouldn't be alone right now."
May's eyes flickered with gratitude, but then she shook her head, a pained expression crossing her features.

"Thank you both,---- but I'll be fine. Really. And I don't want to inconvenience you any further." She said,
Despite her protests, Nina and Ian insisted on helping, but May remained steadfast in her refusal. With heavy hearts, they bid her goodnight, promising to return the next day to continue their search for Noah.

But May was determined. She didn't want to wait for the whole night, she decided that she will go out tonight and she will bring back Noah.
Under the cloak of midnight, With a determined set to her jaw, she gathered her essentials, including a small canister of pepper spray for safety, and slipped out into the silent night.
