Author's POV:-
As the scene dissolved back to the present, May felt a deep, unwavering resolve settle within her. She turned to Ian, her voice steady. "I have to honor Noah's memory and find a way to stop Timothy. For Noah, for everyone."
"For Noah... You say"? Ian said, with a questionin tone..
"Yes for Noah, he's in danger, we have to rescue him, we have to save him Ian".. may said,
Ian nodded, his expression filled with understanding and support. "We'll face this together, May. You're not alone."
With newfound strength, May prepared to face the challenges ahead, determined to protect the love she held dear and bring justice to those who had suffered under Timothy's cruel reign.
Ian stepped closer and held out his hand, a faint glow emanating from his palm. "Then it's time I return your powers. We need you at your full strength."
As their hands touched, a surge of energy flowed between them. May felt the familiar warmth of her magic returning, filling every part of her being. She took a deep breath, feeling whole once more.
"Thank you, Ian," she said, her voice strong. "Let's do this."
Together, they joined hands and cast a spell to locate Noah. The air shimmered around them, and an image appeared-a building May recognized immediately.
"Empire Fabrics," she whispered. "The company I used to own in 2023. He's being held there."
Without wasting a moment, they went to the old factory. The once bustling hub of activity now stood eerily silent, its decayed state a stark contrast to May's memories.
They moved cautiously through the deserted hallways until they reached a large room. There, standing defiantly, was Lily. Her eyes narrowed as she saw them.
"Well, well, if it isn't the once-mighty May," Lily sneered. "Here to play the hero again and to rescue your precious Noah?"
"Lily," May said, her voice cold. "This doesn't have to end in violence. Let Noah go."
Lily laughed, a harsh, mocking sound. "You really think you can just waltz in here and take him? Guards, get them!"
At Lily's command, a group of guards rushed forward. May's eyes glowed as she raised her hands, casting a powerful spell that sent the guards flying back. Ian stood beside her, his own magic weaving protective barriers around them.
Lily's face twisted with rage as she joined the fray. The battle was fierce, spells clashing in bursts of light and sound. Despite the odds, May and Ian fought with a synchronized grace, their combined powers overwhelming the guards and Lily.
Finally, May stood over a defeated Lily, her hand raised, ready to deliver a final blow. But then, she hesitated. Lowering her hand, she looked into Lily's eyes.
"I won't kill you, Lily," she said quietly. "This isn't who I am. But know this-you've lost."
With that, she turned away, finding Noah bound and unconscious in a corner. She and Ian quickly freed him, and with a final spell, they teleported back to Ian's place.
Noah's eyelids fluttered, and with a groan, he slowly regained consciousness. The first thing he saw was May's worried face hovering over him. Relief washed over her features as their eyes met.
"Noah," May whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. She reached out and helped him sit up.
Without a word, Noah wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight embrace. The floodgates opened, and both of them began to cry, their sobs mingling in the quiet room. The weight of the ordeal, the fear, and the relief all poured out in those moments.
