"She's a new obstacle, what's going to happen? First it was (Y/N).." Ray said to the two, they had settled deep in the forest out of sight and hearing from the others and Mom on their first day free from chores.
Many of the littles were looking for them, and Don had taken place at Rays tree. Even (Y/N) had ran off without a word, and the kids were devastated.
"We don't know about (Y/N) yet! We haven't gotten a chance to talk to her, she likes spending her time alone up in trees." Emma said, sharing her observation from the day before. After the one day of tag (Y/N) was seen amongst trees, chattering to children, then waving them off as she hopped around farther from others, only arriving back when the bell had sounded.
"Well then we know first that she prefers to be alone, but why?" Norman spoke his thoughts aloud, yet again in his position of his hand on his chin, and his other arm crossed along his body.
"Lets start from the start, where did those three come from?" Emma asked, Ray all this time was staying silent, listening to the two converse.
"It seems that Carol and (Y/N) are both replacing Conny, or at least one of them. So we know they're replenishing the merchandise." Norman replied, pacing around in a circle.
"Yeah, if this place is a farm and not an orphanage.." Ray added, now deciding to speak up.
"... they must have a base where they have one-year-olds. Either created, or maybe for (Y/N)'s case, kidnapped to replenish farms." Ray had not really lied about (Y/N), as it seemed she was brought here against her will. Yet again Mama wasn't willing to tell the full story to Ray, so he would connect pieces of the puzzle on his own.
"A base to supply more human livestock from." Norman expressed with a worried but serious face. He was looking at the ground with his arms crossed, slightly leaned to one side. Emma was standing there between the two, as Ray was leaning on a tree, as he nodded in reply to Norman.
"So Carol... and also all of us came from there? You think (Y/N) is from there too?" Emma perked up, asking either one of the two.
The two had no time to answer, as Rays eyebrow lifted and looked up into the trees, as did Norman, shifting his body to face the slight rustle of the tree.
"What about me?" (Y/N) spoke up, jumping down from the tree and landing in a squat, then standing as she brushed leaves from her hair, then brushing twigs off her clothes.
"Ah- uh- well so you see-" Emma fumbled around with her words, her eyes widening and unable to articulate her words or make up a lie on the spot.
"We want to know where you came from, and why." Norman asked, stepping forward to (Y/N), putting someone between her and Emma. Ray only glared from the side, and took a place next to Norman.
"Ah, so finally you told what you've been wanting to ask me." She smiled at them, though her smile seemed awfully cold, it felt impossible to read her emotions.
"I'm (Y/N) from Glory Bell, another orphanage, if that's what you can call it." She confided to the kids, lifting her shirt up slightly, which caused Normans cheeks to tint a slight hue of pink. But what she revealed was nothing they were expecting.
"Z8-249-631 was my ID there, and now I have a new identification, 41194." (Y/N) explained, she was still happy as could be, but the others didn't deliver the same energy back.
"You guys were off since I first met you, and I thought I did something wrong. Now you go off to talk about me behind my back, maybe you all are in the wrong instead. I think it's quite rude to talk about others, especially if you don't know them." She continued, then plopping herself down on the ground, pulling out tufts of grass from the Earth.
