"So, are you uh- William Minerva?"
"Nope. Unfortunately for you, I am not William Minerva." The man spoke, placing a cookie in his mouth and crunching away obnoxiously. There was this familiar feeling about him that I couldn't quite grasp.
"Then can you let us see him? We came here to talk to Mr. Minerva." Ray asked, taking a step forward, so now me, Emma, and him were all in front of the children, Emma placing an arm out to make everyone stay back.
"He's not here. Sorry 'bout that, but Minerva's not here." He wiped his mouth away from crumbs, as the kids behind us started yelling again out of frustration, Ray managing to calm them down. But I didn't blame them, all of this was starting to seem like a joke.
"So you know he's a real person? You know about him, so then you can tell us where he is." I said, observing him. He held a broken cup, not to mention that it was dirty as well, which was equally concerning as he pretended to drink tea out of it when we first entered.
"I have no idea." He laughed, leaning back onto the two back legs of the chair he was on. This guy was psychotic.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Ray asked, the man pulling something out his pocket from his vest.
"Who am I? I'm your upperclassman." And with that he pulled out a pen, the same as ours, holding it up for all of us to see.
"He has the same pen as us!" Mark cried out, the man stood up from his chair, and climbed on top of the table so everyone could see a view of what he was doing.
"Yeah. Although not from Grace Field." And he started to slowly lift the left side of his shirt up, and I instantly grabbed my own side, as I watched in horror.
"I escaped from a farm known as Glory Bell 13 years ago. With other kids, using this pen as a guide." My breath hitched, as I felt everyone's eyes fall on me. That man was the rumor passed down from all the kids back at the farm, the group of kids who had escaped Glory Bell long ago, a story that I heard in secrecy from Hikaru. That man had the same ID from where I had once came from, the rumors were true.

"(Y/N), wanna hear a story?"
"Yes! But why did you pull me away from everyone else? We have to do our exercises, or no cookies for us.."
"It's important, I don't know if it's true or not. I heard it a long time ago, that just when I was 2, a group of 19 kids left the village, but it was really big. For some reason, it wasn't like a splurge in adoptions, they wanted to leave this place for some reason. And I can't tell you why, but when you're older, you'll understand the significance of this story, and you might be able to tell it to others. I consider you my blood sibling, the little me, so do your best, follow their footsteps."
"Hikaru, wait! What do you mean, follow their footsteps! I'm talking to you, come back!"

"Hikaru, what are you looking for?""Oh, it's just you, (Y/N). You haven't seen a pen anywhere, have you? A special pen, you can pull it apart, hidden anywhere in our sleeping quarters, or the library?"
"No.. but you're scaring me Hikaru, you haven't been the same ever since they announced you were going to get adopted. Aren't you excited?"
"Right, adoption. I'm sorry (Y/N), you're right. I'm just going to miss everyone, and I lost a pen that I loved a lot, and I didn't want to leave without it."
"I'll help you look then!"
