Uh oh

Jim:

So, I was back in past Arcadia. I was still thinking about what they had all said before I left. I was walking home from school. Chompsky was on my shoulder. Claire's words kept replaying in my head. I felt sick in my stomach. I had finally arrived home and I just walked up the stairs and belly flopped on my bed. Other Toby had a dentist appointment. Mom was at work. I was all alone. Well, except for the gnome of course. I kept staring at the time amulet. I kept thinking - "Was this my destiny??"

And that's when it happened.

The amulet started to malfunction. The green glow on it turned into small strokes of lightning.

It's glow became more and more aggressive.

Chompsky hid under the bed.

And that was the last thing I remembered. After that, I was sent pummeling through a time portal, and knocked unconscious. All I knew was that I landed on grass. The moon was out, and a elder troll like figure came in front of me ...

"What are you doing here, child?"

After that it all went blank.

Claire:

I was still pretty pissed at Jim, but I was mixing the dough for my Empanadas, when another green vortex portal appeared.

"Oh great, what does he want now?" I yelled annoyedly.

Bu to my surprise, he didn't come out. Instead, a little gnome with a pointy red hat came out. Chompsky! I thought for sure Jim must have sent him!

"Oh, it's you. Did Jim send you?"

He looked frantic, scared almost. His skin was as white as a ghost.

He chittered frantically, finding Toby, who understood everything Chompsky said.

He put his hand on his heart, and then gave a little shock to his body.

Toby gasped.

"The time amulet malfunctioned."

Chompsky motioned being pushed and left on the ground unconscious.

"Jim is lost in time!"

Everyone gasped.

"We have to save him." Douxie exclaimed. He got out his staff. "Chompsky has to show us the way. I can teleport you back in time."

"No. No way. I had my adventure. I'm settling down now, and I am not getting up."

"Oh, Claire! Please? Please, you know him better then anyone! We need you! He needs you..." Douxie pleaded.

I saw the sorrow in his face. He was right. He needed me. I couldn't say no. His stupid, hazel puppy eyes. Ugh. I couldn't say no. But it wasn't just that. I loved Jim. I had to save him.

"Ugh, fine. When do we leave?"

Douxie's face brightened up.

"In an hour. Get ready."
