There was something keeping Mia awake, she couldn't settle down. She figured it was probably 1 or 2am but was too nervous to check. There was a pit in her stomach as she tried to get comfortable out on the couch. She was so worried about Charlotte.

She had found the weeping girl out by the bar and couldn't console her to save her life. She knew things were bad between her and her recent ex husband but didn't want to pry. Charlotte had everyone else convinced at work that it was amicable and everything was much better than it had been, but Mia had her doubts.

Those doubts were confirmed when Mia noticed all of Char's belongings in her vehicle. Mia didn't want to assume what had happened but she had an idea. She took some of the essentials from one car and brought them to hers. She helped a very drunk and distraught Charlotte into the passenger seat. When she tried to let go, Char grabbed onto her and began to sob harder than before.

Mia wasn't sure what to do and everything in her body was screaming at her to call Marjorie or Reece to help Char. No, she can handle this on her own.

"Char, sweetheart, I'm bringing you home with me. I need you to breathe." Mia took a breathe in and out to demonstrate. Shit, that didn't help. Mia helped Charlotte up and sat her down onto her lap. She cradled her body and gently stroked her forehead down the bridge of her nose.

Mia made sure to keep her breathing even and soon enough, Charlotte was calm and on the verge of sleep.

"Depollute me, pretty baby ," she found herself softly singing to the sleepy girl, "Suck the rot right out of my bloodstream. Oh dilute me, gentle angel."

She gave a soft kiss to the side of Charlotte's face, "Wonder down what I called being grateful." Another kiss to her forehead. "Oh you kissed me, just to kiss me."

At this point, Charlotte's eyes were fluttering closed as she let Mia's voice fill her mind and calm her. Soon the words turned into a soft humming and even that soon turned into sweet silence.

The ride home to Mia's was very short but seemed to last a lifetime. She wasn't sure how she somehow managed to maneuver herself out from underneath Charlotte without waking her but she managed to. The car was put into park and Mia took Charlotte's things inside before coming back for the sleepy angel.

Charlotte began to stir,"Mia?" She mumbled so quiet that she could barely be heard. "Mia, your voice is so ethereal. "

Mia's cheeks began to turn pink. She knew Charlotte was probably just too drunk and had no idea what she was saying. But she still chooses to indulge in the comment,"Thank you, sweetheart. Now go back to sleep, Charlotte. I know you're tired."

Carefully bringing her inside, Mia looked at the stairs she would have to climb with Char in her arms. She hyped herself up a little before making her way up and helped her lay down on Mia's bed. "Darling, you need to get on your pajamas."

A whine escaped from the sleeping girl as she protested, "Mia, pleaseeeee help me." Her words were a little slurred which caused Mia to chuckle a bit. "Alright, alright. No need to whine, sweetheart."

If this was anyone else, Mia wouldn't feel nervous to help them change. After all, she wasn't modest or a prude but this was Charlotte. The sweet girl she was desperately falling in love with trusting her to do such a vulnerable task.

She grabbed a pair of shorts and one of her own shirts before setting them down next to Charlotte's body. She gently pulled off Charlotte's shirt and hesitates as her hands rest on her hips. She let herself linger for a moment before speaking up,"Lift your hips, sweetheart." She pulled her pants down and helped her redress. She could hear Charlotte's breathing change slightly and a gentle moan escaped when Mia rested her hands on the sides on her hips when finished pulling up the shorts.

"Mia?" She heard the girl breathe out and she stilled her fingers.

"Yes Charlotte?"

"You are so beautiful."

"Oh char, you are so drunk." Mia chuckles before giving Charlotte a kiss on the head.

"Please sing to me again. I love that song and I really love when you sing to me."

And that was that. She sang Charlotte to sleep before sneaking out of the bedroom and trying to sleep on the couch. She didn't want to make her uncomfortable or give her the impression she took advantage of her while vulnerable.

She couldn't rest. Was Charlotte really all that drunk? Could she have possibly meant any of what she said? Mia wasn't sure of any of that but she was sure that she had fallen for her. If only morning would come sooner so she could see what had been going on before she found Charlotte.

If Mia had any choice in it, Charlotte would never be left drunk outside of a bar again, let alone living out of her car.
