Awkwardness and tension still hung in the air the next morning between Charlotte, Mia and Renee. Ellie couldn't be bothered to notice anything and was making Mia build a fort for her and Renee's sleepover that Saturday night. After using a large assortment of pillows, blankets, and stuffies, it was finally made. Mia made sure Ellie was comfortable in there before kissing her cheeks and climbing out. She needed to call her boss and let them know she wouldn't be working for them anymore, but when she tried to call they said she needed to come in and speak with them. Charlotte wasn't very pleased to hear this and insisted on joining her.
Charlotte's mom came over to watch over the girls and they began their drive to Mia's workplace. Even though an apology had been made and accepted, it was clear the whole thing was bothering Charlotte. Mia couldn't find the right thing to say so she stayed quiet. It made for a very long car ride. When they finally pulled up to the place, Mia walked over to the passenger side and helped Charlotte up. She placed her hand on Charlotte's lower back, gently pushing her body against the car window.
"Sweetheart," She breathed out as she pressed her hand to Charlotte's cheek, cupping it gently,"I can't stand the thought of you being upset with me."
Charlotte gasped a bit when she felt Mia slide her thigh between hers, she moved closer into her warmth,"I just can't stop thinking about someone else wanting what's mine. " She leans in to kiss along Mia's jawline. Mia felt a bit hot at Charlotte's verbal claim.
"Fuck. You're so hot, sweetheart. If we don't give each other some space I'm gonna end up knee deep in the passenger seat." She gripped the underside of Charlotte's thighs. Charlotte whimpered at the thought and gently pushed Mia back.
"You're right. You're right. Let's quit your job and maybe I'll let you take me in the car again." Mia couldn't help but cut Charlotte with a lip searing kiss. It took the breath right out of Charlotte's lungs and she was losing control very quickly. Just when she was ready to say fuck it and let Mia have her, Mia pulled back and smiled.
"Alright my sweetheart. Let's go." She winked at Charlotte before lacing their fingers together and walking Charlotte into the headquarters.
The atmosphere was cold and very still. Mia could see her boss's office door and was open and she led Charlotte into the room with her. "Hello Faye."
"Hello Mia. Who is this?" Faye gestures towards Charlotte who was feeling a bit timid. Faye was not much older than Mia and was more welcoming than the office led her to be.
"This is my soon to be wife, Charlotte." Mia smiled, she loved using wife and Charlotte in the same sentence,"Char, this is Faye."
Faye smiled and waved to her," Good to meet you, Charlotte. Now Mia, you seemed pretty frantic on the phone this morning. Are you alright?"
Mia sighed, twisting her shirt together,"No I'm not okay and I'm not going to be able to work here anymore." She went on to explain the situation and Faye was absolutely disgusted.
"And you're 100% it was Lea? I'm going to call HR down and we are going to write this up. This is absolutely not okay. If I could fire her on the spot, I would-"
Faye was cut off when someone knocked on the door and let themselves in. The color drained from Mia's face when she saw who it was. Charlotte stood suddenly, she felt like she needed to protect Mia just like she had always protected her.
"Settle down, Charlotte." Lea's voice was laced with venom and she waltzed over to Mia and sat in the chair next to her, pushing Charlotte out of the way." Hi sweet cheeks. Good to see you this morning. I was afraid I was gonna have to track you down to give this back." She holds up Mia's phone and Mia snatched it back.
"First of all, do not speak to my wife like that. Second of all, do not call me sweet cheeks. Third of all, what the fuck are you doing here?"
Faye quickly called for the HR representative to come to the office. The heat was rising and rising fast. Charlotte couldn't believe the audacity of Lea to tell her to calm down AND push her out of the way to get closer to Mia.
"I'll speak to her however I wish. Thank you very much. I figured I'd find you here. Well truthfully I was hoping to finish what we had started."
Mia opened her mouth to speak, but Charlotte beat her to the punch. "No. You will not speak to me however you wish and you will NOT tell me to settle myself down. Mia is mine and I'm not very good at sharing. Leave her alone."
"Shut up, Charlotte." Lea mocked her and stood up to her level. She was much taller than Charlotte but that didn't scare her very much. She used to take it from a 6"3 300lb man, she could handle Lea. She stood as tall as she could and was getting ready to speak when Lea began to laugh in her face,"She might be yours for now, but she'll be mine soon enough."
Charlotte felt her face heat up fairly quickly and she was about to speak when the HR representative finally came in. Faye was speechless at the conduct of her employee and finally raised her voice,"Lea, that is enough! Sit down at the other side of the office and leave them alone. Now."
Lea looked surprised as if she thought Faye was going to side with her and try to make it some sort of illicit affair. The representative, Luca, had Mia started from the beginning and documented every little detail.
"Lea, this is grounds for dismissal." Luca said in shock at the end of the story, "Faye, I will let you take it from here but if you choose to terminate, the company will stand behind you. "
"I didn't do anything wrong though. Just trying to have a little bit of fun." Lea scoffs, she truly had no idea why she was getting in such big trouble. She winked and blew a kiss towards Mia.

Charlotte saw it and knew Mia was just choosing to ignore her from now on, but she couldn't keep herself under control. She found herself sat on Mia's lap, passionately kissing her. She knew it was ridiculous to feel so jealous when all Mia wanted was her. But fuck did it feel good to show that Mia belonged to her and she belonged to Mia. When the kiss finally came to a close, Mia was panting out of breath.

"Jesus, sweetheart, warn me next time. " she chuckled and looked over to see a shocked look on Lea's face. "Excuse me but I have some unfinished business that I need to attend to. Faye, I loved working with you but my children back home need me and so does my wife." Mia stood up and handed Faye her resignation.
The next few minutes were a blur for Mia and Charlotte. Mia had picked Charlotte up and was finger fucking her against the car. Char let out a squeal when she felt Mia quickly dip two fingers inside of her. She did her best to stay quiet but it was really hard when Mia was fucking her like her life depended on it.

And in that moment, Mia believed her life
