ASTORIA

"I hope I'm hearing this right. You mean to tell me you kissed Lorenzo. Again?" Claire said, while we were walking around the school field during our P.E lesson. Sylvia was quite the athlete so she was up infront with Dahila while Evelyn decided not to come to school today. I'm not sure why but we will find out eventually.

"Yes I did, well its more like he kissed me." I said

"That's fucking crazy. You do realise he's probably playing you."

"Your the one to talk, your literally hooking up with the person your parents warned you about."

"Keep it down. People could hear you."

"No one is behind us Claire, no need to be so worried."

"It's called being cautious, which is something you should be doing." She said. "I know Lorenzo, I practically grew up with him and all I can say is that he isn't the prince charming you keep dreaming about. He's crazy, he uses people and manipulates girls into loving him just for a bet."

"But why does he do that."

"You remember that girl Katie right? Well she cheated on him in sophomore year and ever since then he's became more hard-core than usual. He breaks girls, he places bets on people only for them to end up as another pawn in his chess game."

"Maybe he's different, I can help him. Besides he kissed me twice, maybe he's interested in me or something."

"I'd have you know you kissed him the first time and the second time he all of a sudden became possessive just from you not talking to him."

"Exactly, I'm not delusional Claire. Maybe he wants me." Claire stopped walking before she turned to me. "Alright, maybe he does want you. The main question is do you want him."

Fuck, she got me there. I never thought about that until now. Do I really want to be with him or not. "I don't know yet." I answered.

"Exactly. Now please Tori listen to my advice and stay away from him." She said

"Fine." I said as we picked up our pace and finished our laps.

"Alright people I understand that some of you are excited for the upcoming football match on Thursday but you also need to do some work." Our business teacher said

I wasn't talking much because one, all my friends didn't do business so I was left alone and two because I refused to make friends with any of the girls here because all they cared about was their looks and stuff. Our teacher was marking our test papers and told us to read so most of them were just talking. She wasn't that wrong about people being excited about the football match but also people wouldn't stop talking about the masquerade party coming up in three weeks time. It's apparently supposed to be the party of the year and people and getting very excited about it.

Claire and Sylvia tried convincing me do go and at first I said no but eventually they convinced me to go with them. I haven't gotten time to buy myself a dress for it but Celeste and I have plans to go dress shopping once she came back from her honeymoon with my dad. I eventually took out my phone, put my earphone on and started watching a movie for a while until someone tapped my shoulder. "You see to busy to pay attention to me." Lorenzo said

Great, I forgot he was inside my class. "What do you want Lorenzo." I said.

"Feisty today aren't we princess." He said

"Stop calling me that, I'm not a princess."

"Keep saying that Astoria, in my eyes, your a princess or would you prefer to be my queen."

Of all the words he could call me he chooses to call me a queen. Not just any queen, His queen. I really shouldn't be thinking about him like this because all he's gonna do is break me. Like Claire said I shouldn't fall for him.

But sometimes you can't help who you fall for.

"I'm not your queen."

"Not yet at least." He said grinning at me.

"Why are you here."

"I'm bored and well your here so I might as well be here with you."

"Charming, but unless it's useful you should go. I'm sure you don't wanna be associated with someone like me."

"I don't mind princess." He said. "I didn't take you as the type to watch mystery films."

"They're interesting, solving cases are very interesting and I love it."

"So I'm guessing you know what you want to do in the future."

"Taking an interest in something does not mean I will do it. I'm studying medicine for your information." That was a lie, I wanted to take criminal justice it's just my father wouldn't approve of it but I'm working on convincing him. Hopefully. "If I hear one more person talk about medicine I'm going to stab myself in the eye with a key." I giggled softly before talking again. "I'd love to see you do that."

"Sure you would. Hand over your earphone and let me watch."

"Fine but be careful, all these murders are disgusting." I handed it to him before playing the movie.

"I've seen worse princess, nothing scares me."
