Taehyung walked the halls during his lunch break, he had nothing to do given how Yoongi had left the school to go eat lunch with his boyfriend and he didn't socialize enough to have other lunch eating friends.
On his walk he bumped into a few students who waved and greeted him. Sometimes they would say something he would pretend to hear since he had both of his earplugs buried in his ears.
"Taehyung!"
His earplug was carefully taken out, startling the boy when he heard his name.
"Jungkook, what's up?" Taehyung turned around and saw his friend was standing besides him.
"Are you still coming over to my place after school?" Jungkook asked as he started walking again.
"Of course, I didn't bring my car today. Can you give me a lift?" Taehyung asked as if it was nothing but was worried about the younger turning him down.
"No problem! Let's meet in the parking lot at the end of the day, sounds good?" The ravenette smiled and ruffled Taehyung's hair.
"Sounds good" he chuckled and proceeded to flatten his hair back.
"So did you already eat lunch?" the younger opened the doors that lead to the outside court and walked out with the other boy.
"Nah, Yoongi's not here and I don't like eating alone. Feels like everybody's watching" Taehyung opened his eyes wide to prove his point making Jungkook chuckle.
"Well that's okay, you can come eat with me. I haven't eaten yet either, come on" Jungkook pointed to the cafeteria and started walking there. He opened the door for Taehyung and entered after him. The boys waited in line for some time until it was their turn to get food and go sit down.
"A table just for us?" Taehyung asked, he knew Jungkook usually ate with other people.
"Yeah, we don't need to be a whole group" he smiled and started eating, making the brunette feel more at ease.
A few minutes into lunch and Taehyung could feel a few stares. He knew it was because of Jungkook.
"I think I could have eaten by myself at this point"
"Don't mind them, it's because it's the first time we eat together" he said.
"We've already eaten together though"
"But this time it's just us two" Jungkook looked behind him and rolled his eyes, people were really too much.
"Right, well, okay then" Taehyung wasn't going to let them ruin his time with Jungkook. If they thought that he would back out or leave just because they were staring, they were wrong.
The two boys kept on talking during their lunch time until the bell rang. Seeing how they both had different classes, the boys waved goodbye and remembered to meet up at the end of the day.
Taehyung put his earplugs in and made his way to class as he listened to Lady in red and dozed off during most of the lecture.
