I kick the ball with full force into the net. I had been doing this since the start of practice, not missing a single time. I walk over to the benches to get a sip of water for a minute. I see one of my teammates, ethan, aka the bop of lacey high, walk up to me.
"Hey, noon," He calls out.
"What do you want Ethan," I scowl.
"How do you know Haley's sister?" He asks. I simply reply that she was Brady's friend. I knew Ethan was never a fan of Brady because of how he liked Haley.
"Oh yeah she's hot," One of the other teammates commented. I felt my gut twist, i don't know why I felt like that but hearing that made me feel upset?
"She's alright, but I heard she turned down every guy who has ever asked her out, It's impossible," Another said.
"Hold up. Connor, she's your tutor and brother's friend right?" Ethan asks with a condescending smirk on his face.
I hesitantly nod unsure on where he was going with this.
"If you can get Sabrina to go out with you and to be your date to the formal at the end of the year.I'll talk to my dad about UCLA for you and maybe you'll get some additional cash too. This will be fun entertainment for a while," He turns to the other teammates. They all laugh. I didn't get what was so amusing. They were going to pay me to take out Sabrina? That's sorta fucked up.
Ethan's dad was a dean at UCLA, my dream college. Now he was offering to secure my future and all i had to do was ask out Sabrina?
Something in my gut didn't feel right. Though it seemed harmless I also felt that it would be really complicated if she found out. And plus Brady would be furious because Sabrina is his best friend.
How hard could it be? She's never really liked me anyway so even if she does agree and ends up disliking me in the end it wouldnt change much so that's the only reason i say
