WEDDING VENUE (BEACH) ; 5:27 pm

I notice my dad nervously playing with his fingers up on the platform as he waits for Julia's arrival. I excuse myself from Connor, going over to help my dad. Luke sees me coming over as well.

"Hey dad...you ok?" I ask, putting a hand on his back. Luke gives him the same concerned look as me.

"Yeah I'm fine, just nervous," He wipes the sweat that was currently dripping down his forehead.

"Nervous of what?" Luke asks.

"What if she says no? What if she doesn't show up? What if this ends up just like my last marriage-" He lists before I stop him.

"Dad!" He stops his rant. "I've never seen two people more in love. And I'm 100% sure she won't say no. She been so excited for this, and this will not end up like Mom, ok?" I assure him.

"We love you,Dad. And I can't wait until we are all a family," Luke smiles. He pulls us into a hug, kissing both our heads.

"Thank you kids," He looks down, smiling at us.

The wedding march starts playing which meant for us to go get ready to throw flowers before the Julia walks down the aisle.

start playing I'll be by edwin mccain here !

I link arms with Connor, holding the flower basket in my other hand. I gracefully threw some on the ground as Haley and Brady followed behind, along with the Madison and Luke.

I turn to my side slightly seeing Connor staring at me, which cause me to blush. Once we reach the end of the carpet Haley stood on the right side of the platform while Luke and I stood on the left, behind my dad. The Noons took their seats, while we waited for Julia to walk.

Everyone stands when she arrives with her dad, Haley's grandfather, as they walk with their arms interlocked down the red velvet carpet. The dress fits her perfectly, with her hair done up and the train flowing behind her against the sea breeze. I turn to my dad who looks in awe as his eyes turned glossy.

I see a few tears pool in Julia's eyes as she smiles, walking up to my Dad. She steps up onto the platform after her dad kisses her cheek, successfully "giving her away", taking his seat in the front row.

The music stops and everyone sits back down.

"We are gather here today, to join Jamie James and Julia Scott in Holy matrimony," The minister starts.

He gestures to my dad, to say his vows.

"My dearest Julia, as I stand here today, I can't help but feel like the luckiest guy in the universe – second time's the charm, right? From the moment you walked into my life, it's been like finding the missing puzzle piece I never knew was missing, though I must admit, I could've used a clue or two. Today, I promise to be your partner in crime, your partner in Netflix binging, and your partner in all the adventures life throws our way. I vow to laugh with you, cry with you (especially during those sappy rom-coms), and be the ultimate taste-tester for all your culinary experiments. Let's create a love story that's even better than the sequels, filled with inside jokes, spontaneous dance parties, and more love than we ever thought possible. Julia, you're my happily ever after, and I can't wait to spend forever making memories with you." Now I was crying. Luke rubs my back comfortingly as I lean my head on his shoulder.

Julia lets out a small laugh through her sniffles at my dad's speech. "My beloved Jamie, standing here with you today feels like a dream I never thought possible. After my heartache, I convinced myself that love was a chapter closed, a story already told. But then you appeared, with your kind eyes and warm embrace, and suddenly, the pages of my life began to turn again. You didn't just enter my life; you embraced it fully, including my precious daughter and your wonderful children, blending our families with such grace and love. You've shown me that love doesn't have to come just once in a lifetime; it can bloom again, even more beautifully than before. With you, I've found a partner who not only accepts my past but cherishes it, understanding that it has shaped the person I am today. So, as we stand here, ready to embark on this new chapter together, I vow to love you fiercely, to cherish our family, and to treasure every moment we share, knowing that with you, my heart has found its home once more." If it was even possible I was crying even harder now. I love wedding so much.

I look over to Haley across the platform with tears streaming down her face too.

"The rings please," The minister asks. I take the ring from Luke as Haley does the same with my dad's ring.

They put the rings on each others finger before the minister continues.

"Well, by the power vested in me by the state of New Jersey, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride."

My dad walks closer to her cupping her face, dipping her like in those romcom movies. The guests erupt in cheers before they pull away laughing, looking at each other in love.

Connor walks up to me putting an arm around my shoulder, noticing the tears around my eyes."Are you ok?"

"I just love weddings," I laugh, wiping my tears. He chuckles at my emotionalness as I lean into his touch.
