Connor and I were officially dating. He asked me on the night of my parent's wedding. Right now they were on their honeymoon. I was kinda sad that they weren't here because prom was in a week and I wanted them to be here. But I'm glad they have time to themselves.
Speaking of prom only being a week away, Prom was a week away! And Connor still hasn't asked me yet. I didn't know if he thought us being together meant it was implemented that we were going together but maybe a little acknowledgement would have been fine. I just needed to know if we were going together or if he even wants to go at all.
I sit at my lunch table with Val and Oliver, while Lydia and Jackson were somewhere else not having the same lunch period as us.
I look up form my food as a tulip was handed to me. I take it from the girl in front of me before another was handed to me. I was handed individual tulips by a row of people until I had a whole bouquet. Val smiles excitedly at me.
"Dude you're totally getting a promposal," She squeals.
Suddenly a crowd of people swarmed in front of me. They eventually cleared revealing me boyfriend. He held up a sign that said;
Checklist: ✓ our first date 4-10-24 ✓ became official 16-11-24 ☐ prom together? 23-11-24
I put a hand over my mouth, in shock. I stand up from my seat, wrapping my arms around him. I didn't expect him to full on promposal me because he had already planned so much in asking me to be his girlfriend. Nonetheless, I was so grateful. I nod my head eagerly as he pulls me into a kiss. The cafeteria erupts in cheers.
