At the golf course, my dad had started to play a round of golf with some people he met. I was his caddy. I put on a white polo and skirt as my outfit for the day which I thought was pretty cute for a day out on the golf course. I felt like one of those country club girls.
I admire the greenery of the course, taking in my potential future workplace.
"Bean, could you pass me a driver?" If not for the labels on each club I would have never known the name of it. I had no knowledge whatsoever about golf so i'm not sure how this would be an ideal job choice for me.
I pull out the long club handing it to my father, switching it with the one he'd previously used.
"I heard you plan on working here," The sweet old man my dad was playing golf with asked me.
I nod,smiling back.
"If you need any help there is one worker here, a young teenage boy, he's very good!" He suggest, his voice frail due to his old age.
"Will do, sir. Thank you!" I beam appreciatively.
"Oh there he is now," He points behind me. I turn around and my smile drops the instance I meet the face of this beloved 'worker' of his.
"Sabrina?" Connor asks dumbfounded, though it didn't sound like a question.
"You two know each other?" My dad asks.
"Yeah we go to school together."
Connor flashes a small smile toward my dad before turning his attention to the old man.
"Mr Turner, I'll be driving you around the course today. Jack's sick," He explains.
"Thank you boy." Mr Turner, pats his shoulder.
"Would you like to join us Jamie?" He asks my dad.
"Sure," My Dad thanks him.
I walk over to the golf cart, moving the golf bag full of clubs to put in the back. Connor stops me, taking it from my arms, helping me load it in.
He walks back over to the front of the cart and drives off once we were all in. We reached the next hole and we all get out of the cart. Once again, Connor helps me with the golf bag, since it was really heavy.
