Chapter 9: Do I know you?

(i really need to stop disappearing for a few months every time i update this book.  i feel terrible every time i do)

Yura Sakoto

"Huh... looks like no one's home today. Best I go run some errands."

Yura was off duty today, and head outside to run errands for a bit. Her friends had missions today, so they were all busy. But since Yura had just finished up a mission several hours ago, she had decided to get some errands done so she wouldn't have to worry about them. There was a small village nearby the mansion, and the demon slayers often went there to get some food for the group. Everyone had pitched in, so it worked out pretty well.

It was daytime, so Yura didn't have to worry too much about any demons coming around the corner for now. But she did have her uniform and sword on her, so people could easily recognize her as a demon slayer. The Demon Slayers Corps isn't recognized by the government. Yura had known that for a long time. So she was smart enough to hide her sword while she was walking.

It didn't take very long for her to finish up her errands. So, she was already on her way back an hour later. She hummed softly, as her crow was flying in front of her, as the crow had lead her back to the mansion. As soon as she was reaching the door of the mansion, she had stopped for a moment. She was holding a bag in her hands, so she didn't want to drop anything. However, what she saw in front of her, had given her a surprised look on her face.

There wasn't a dead body or anything. But there were three women standing outside of the mansion's door, which made Yura stand there in complete confusion. Were there any visitors? If that were the case, Yura would've been notified. In fact, everyone would've been notified.

"Are you sure this is the right place?"

"It has to be. If it isn't, I don't know what is."

"I-I'm kind of nervous... what if we're intruding?"

Yura could only stand there, silent for a few moments. She had paused for a moment, trying to think of the right words to say to them. She then cleared her throat.

"Excuse me?"

The three women had quickly turned around, then making eye contact with the pink haired female. To Yura, the women looked a bit familiar.

The first woman had light brown eyes and was wearing a red sleeveless dress, with her raven and golden brown hair tied into a ponytail. The second woman had sapphire blue eyes and was wearing a blue sleeveless dress. But her raven hair was simply straight down. The last woman had violet colored eyes, and was wearing a purple sleeveless dress. Her raven hair was tied into a long ponytail, like the first woman.

"Oh! Are you the owner of this place?" The woman with the purple dress had asked. Yura smiled a little and answered her question a second later.

"Well... I'm not technically the owner, but me and some other friends own the place together. Though I wasn't the one who found it, I was taken in." She replied. She then tilted her head to the side. "Can I help you with something?" She had asked politely, not wanting to sound rude. Especially because she had gotten back.

The woman with the red dress then suddenly spoke up. "Ah, well, we were looking for someone, actually. You're a demon slayer, right?"

Yura had nodded quickly in reply. The uniform defintiely gave it away. But why did the three women look oddly familiar? That was Yura's thought. "I am. You said there was a certain person you were looking for?" She had questioned. The woman with the purple dress had nodded in reply. "Right. We don't know her name or anything, but we're told that she's somewhere around here, I think?"
