(I spun a wheel earlier on who to choose as the star for this chapter and it landed on Asahi! This is for you, Ice_Cream_55!)

Asahi Yasha

"I can't believe my crow failed to give me the right directions!  Great... I'm lost."

A boy with medium length black hair with dyed red and orange ends and pale orange eyes had been walking around a village that he had gotten himself lost in.  After this one, he was supposed to find another village for his mission.  He tried to ask his crow a few times.  However, his crow still didn't give him the right directions, as Asahi felt like it was wrong.

Asahi had kept his arms lowered at his sides, as he continued to walk around, trying to find anyone who could help him get to the village for his mission.  However, he was rather nervous, as he didn't know the right person to speak to.

However, after walking around for a while, there was someone who had caught his eye.

A few feet away from him, was a girl around his age, but was a few inches taller than he was.  She had chestnut brown hair tied in a high bun, though the rest of her hair was straight down.  She had a white rose on the side of her head, and wore a wisteria patterned haori.  She was talking to someone.

It looked like she was buying food of the sort.  The girl had given the person the money and a kind smile, as she waved at her goodbye.  The girl had started to walk past him.  However, Asahi had noticed the uniform that she was wearing.

Was she a Demon Slayer too?  He had recognized her uniform.  Maybe he could ask her!

"U-Um... excuse me!"  The boy had ran up to the girl, tapping on the shoulder.  The girl had turned around, making eye contact with the boy.  She had stared at him with a look of curiosity.  "Yes?"  She had asked.  Asahi was trying to find the right words to ask her about his mission.

"Do you... do you know if there's another village near this one?  I've been given not so good directions, and I've been trying to find my way through, and it's for a mission of mine!"

The girl had stared at Asahi, pausing for a moment.  She then nodded, smiling slightly.  "Ah, I think there is.  I just happened to be on my way home from here, and it's near the village you mentioned.  Follow me."

Asahi's eyes lit up at that.  Now he was glad that he asked this girl.  He had nodded quickly in reply.  "Thank you!  I've been lost for the past hour and I'm trying to find my way through!  I'm sorry for the trouble!"  He had replied, apologizing quickly afterwards.  The girl had shaken her head in reply.

"No, no, it's okay.  I'm glad I can help."  She had replied, a calm and reassuring smile on her face.  The girl had started walking in a certain direction, and Asahi had followed her.  The girl was rather quiet, as she was walking.  Asahi didn't know exactly what to say, since he was known for being full of energy.  It was like the two were opposites.

"You're... a Demon Slayer, right?  You don't have a sword with you?"  Asahi had suddenly spoke up.  The girl had turned to face him at first, then at her waist, where her sword would usually be.  The boy had felt nervous once more.  Shouldn't he have not asked that?  It was obvious that the girl was a Demon Slayer, judging from her uniform.

However, her reaction was a different one from what he had expected.  Instead of a frown that he had expected, it was simply a kind smile.

"Oh no, I left my sword at my home.  I just don't bring it with me when I have errands to run, or if I don't have any missions."  The girl had replied simply.
