(Guts)
"That construction site,"Rick points over to what used to be a construction site, you know, before the world ended. "those trucks- they keep keys on hand."
Morales takes the binoculars from him and looks where he was pointing."You'll never make it past the walkers." He picks out the fault in the sheriffs idea.
Rick then turns to Glenn and I, "you's got me out of that tank."
I take a breath, shaking my head slightly. "Yeah but they were feeding. They were distracted."
"Can we distract them again?"
"Right," Merle now joins in with the planning, "listen to him, he's into something. A diversion, like on 'Hogans Heroes'."
"God," Jacqui groans, already frustrated with the Dixon, "give it a rest."
We all turn our attention back to Rick as he thinks he's onto something, "they're drawn by sound right?" Glenn nods in understanding, "right. Like dogs, they hear a sound, they come."
"What else?"
"Aside from they hear you? They see you, smell you and if they catch you?" Morales continues his dismissive rant, " they eat you."
Rick scrunches his face, confused, "they can tell us by smell?" Glenn scoffs, "can't you?"
"They smell dead we don't," Andrea explains, "it's pretty distinct." I add on to the end of her sentence.
Then an idea strikes in my head.
"Hold up, I think I got an idea."
——————————————————"If bad ideas were an Olympic event, this would take the gold." Glenn says as Rick passes out rubber gloves,
Right now we were back inside, everyone wearing a white lab coat, preparing their selves for what were about to do.
"He's right." Morales agrees with Glenn, "just stop, okay? Take some time to think this through." He says as he follows me about, while I'm getting equipment ready.
"Don't have time. This is happening. now." I don't give him time to question me further, as I walk away from him towards Glenn.
"She's right," Rick nods his head in my direction as Morales starts to interrogate him, "They already got through one set of doors, that last glass won't hold forever." He throws a coat over to Glenn.
Rick and Morales run through the door to the alley to collect the body of the walker T-dog killed earlier that day, they bring it inside and Rick puts a plastic visor on his head, before he starts dismembering the body he reaches into the corpse's pocket and pulls out a wallet.
"Wayne Dunlap, Georgia license. Born in 1979.
He hands the card to Glenn who reads over it as Rick continues, "he had twenty-eight dollars in his pocket when he died, and a picture of a pretty girl. "With love from Rachel." He used to be like us —worrying about bills or the rent or the Super Bowl. If I ever find my family, I'm gonna tell them about Wayne." Which in all honesty I thought was stupid, once your 'kill count' crosses over double digits you start to think less about how they used to be."One more thing," and we all turn our attention over to Glenn. "He was an organ donor." I smirked at Glenn's joke, biting back a laugh as now was most definitely not the time.
Rick lifts the axe above his head before slamming it down into the corpse on the ground without giving anyone warning making blood splatter over my face and coat.
