(Highway to hell)

We had been in the R.V for about 30 minutes? And we still didn't have a plan for what happens next. So I guess right now we're just 'winging it'. Shane still wants to go to Fort Benning, I swear he has his wet dreams over that fucking city he never stops talking about it. But Rick doesn't think there's anything better in Fort Benning and no matter how many times we try to tell Shane we don't have the fuel to get us to Fort Benning he doesn't listen. And to top it all off Glenn hasn't uttered a word to me since the CDC. Not one. So I've just been sitting here. In silence. Waiting for something to go wrong. Because it will, it always does in an apocalypse.

But what I didn't expect was for that thing to go wrong that quick. Because no longer than 5 minutes after I had thought it the R.V slowed to a stop, and Daryl's motorcycle came up next to us.

"Ah jeez, you see a way through?" Dale asked Daryl as I looked out the window to see. The highway that we had first started on when we were trying to escape the city at the start of this mess. It was lined with old cars that were blocking us from getting through.

"Uh, maybe we should just go back, there's an interstate bypass-." Glenn started but Daryl interrupted him before he could finish. "Can't spare the fuel."

"Jeez."

But before we could even try get a plan formatted the R.V shows to a stop.

"I said it. Didn't I say it? A thousand times dead in the water." Dale moans as we all get out our cars.

"Problem Dale?" Shane asks and Dale looks back at him.

"Oh, just a small matter of being stuck in the middle of nowhere, with no hope of —okay that was dumb." He stopped his own rant as he realised where we were.

"If you can't find a radiator hose here then-." Shane starts. "There's a whole bunch a stuff we can find." Daryl finishes his sentence as we all looked around at the cars.

"Can syphon gas outta some of these cars for a start." T-dog says and soon others join in on listing what we can get.

"Maybe some food." Carol says.

"Or water?" Glenn adds and Lori shakes her head.

"This is a graveyard. I don't know how I feel about about this."

"Well I don't know about you but I for one, do not want to make this our graveyard." I say looking around the group and T-dog nodded his head in agreement with me.

"Come on y'all. Look around, gather what you can." Shane instructs and we all split off to go check the cars, I end up with Rick looking for water.

For a while we were both silent, not saying a word. That was of course until he broke it. "You haven't told anyone-." He starts. "About what Jenner said? No." I interrupt him, knowing exactly what he was going to ask.

He nodded. "Okay. Thank you." I nodded and continued to check the cars.

"You think Shane's acting strange?" He asked me and I froze. Okay, so I knew about Lori and Shane, and T-dog and Daryl knew too. But still I don't want to have to be the one to tell Rick about them. That's their job as a family not mine.
