(Everything ends with a grave)
"Just admit it, you only came back to Atlanta for the hat." Glenn teases Rick with a huge smile on his face.
"Shh, don't tell anyone." And Glenn laughs."Yeah Glenn, a sheriff ain't a sheriff without his hat." I said a flicked the back of Ricks hat so it fell over his face, he chuckled and then took his hat off and placed it on my head as I walked beside him. I laughed and repositioned it on my head. "Who wore it better?" I asked Glenn as the two of us were smiling for god knows what reason. Glenn scrunches his face before answering, "sorry Rick, but Hailie wins." "Ha!" I said as I took the hat back off and flung it on Ricks head again.
"You've given away at least half our guns." Daryl moans from the back.
"Not nearly half." Rick says and Daryl just ignore him. "For what? Bunch of old farts who are gonna die off momentarily anyhow? Seriously, how long do you think they got?"
"How long do any of us." Rick mumbles and I wish we could go back to two seconds ago when we weren't all doom and gloom.
We rounded the corner where our van was supposed to be but wasn't.
"Oh my god." Glenn says at the fact our van wasn't there.
"Where the hells our van?!" Daryl angrily shouts.
"It was right here! Who the fuck would take it?" I say in disbelief that someone would actually take our van.
"Merle." Rick breathes out in realisation. And I laugh slightly at the thought of him tryna Hotwire and drive one-handed.
"He's gonna be taking some vengeance back to camp." Daryl says then Glenn huffs. "What are we gonna do now?"
"Looks like we're walking." And my sentence is met with an audience of dramatic groans, I roll my eyes. "Come on, are y'all really that outta shape?" As i start walking, the rest of them slowly following behind me.
———————————————————————————We were walking for a bit and Glenn was now walking by my side not behind me like the rest.
"My legs hurt." He groans and dramatically leans on me, I roll my eyes at him. "Then run." I smirk as he looks at me with an unbelievable expression. "How's that gonna help?" I shrug. "The faster you get there, the faster you can sit down." He seems to contemplate it for a second, before leaning on my again. "Nah." I laugh wrapping my arm around his back and continue walking.
We were right in sight to the campground when we heard screams. Glenn immediately stopped leaning on me and looked at me, his eyes wide with worry.
"It's from the camp! Come on, hurry up!" I shout at the other 3 behind us and take off sprinting to camp.
I get there before the others, being the fastest out of the lot of us. And there were walkers crawling all over the camp. The other 4 quickly stopped beside me, and instead of shooting from the ledge the same as them, I ran down to the main grounds where everyone was and started taking them out with my glock until it ran out of bullets then I used my knife.
A walker fell on top of me and I lost my balance, dropping my knife, I immediately placed my right hand on its neck, shoving its head upwards so it couldn't bite me, while my left hand was searching for the knife I had dropped on the floor. The walkers head was really close to my neck when I finally managed to get a grip on my knife and drive it through the walkers skull. I heard someone shout my name right as the walker fell limp on top of me, I pushed the corpse to the side to see Glenn standing over me with an extended hand, I took his hand and as soon as I was stood on my feet he wrapped his arms around my neck, pulling me into a hug.
