(Wait- who's the father?)
The next day Glenn and I were standing in the kitchen was Maggie cane in and forced a basket of fruit into Glenn's arms.
"Here, enjoy." She told us and I looked at Glenn as he looked back at me before he turns to address Maggie again. "Are you trying to buy our silence with fruit?"
"Of course not. There's also jerky." She replied with a shake of her head.
"As disgusting as that sounds ill pass. But will you just tell us why your father has a barn full of walkers?" I asked her and Glenn put one of his free hands in front of me.
"She meant, will you please tell us why your father has a barn full of walkers?" I rolled my eyes at his politeness.
"It's creepy." I stated. "You know that right?"
"Shh." She tried to hush me which in actual fact just made me talk louder.
"No!" I raised my finger in her face. "Do not try to shush me."
"Just.. trust me on this, okay?" She practically pleaded with us and Glenn gave her a look.
"But I suck at lying." He whined and I nodded my head in agreement. "Thats true. He does suck at lying, he can't even play poker cause he says it's 'too much like lying.'" I pointed out to her and she gave Glenn a weird look before turning back to the problem at hand.
"You have to keep this one to yourselves." She told us and then before I could answer back she was shoving us out the door. "Go see if Dale wants some peaches."
I huffed and picked up a peach from the basket in Glenn's hands.
"Yo Dale! You want some peaches?!" I shouted over to him and threw the peach in his direction, in which he caught.
"You could've handed it to him." Glenn told me and I shrugged.
"Why? He caught it."
"Still, it's more polite."
"Whatever." Glenn scoffed at my answer and nudged my arm slightly.
"I'm gonna go check on Lori." He said and I nodded. "You go on ahead, I'm gonna go see Rick." I pointed out to the first person I saw in the distance.
"Okay, I'll uh- talk to you later then." He spoke sounding nervous and I nodded.
"Alright, see ya!" I shouted behind me and continued to walk in Rick's direction.
"Hey!" I shouted as soon as I was in close enough distance to him. He turned around and I smiled. "Catch!" I threw the peach and just like Dale had he managed to catch it, looking at me confused as he realised what it was he caught.
"Maggie?" His question was answered by a single nod of my head.
"What you doing out here?" I asked him and he shrugged his shoulders.
"Just.. stuff and things." He answered and I laughed.
"Stuff, and things?"
"Yeah." He also laughed at the awkwardness of his answer.
"What are they talking about?" He asked, nodding his head over towards Lori and Glenn.
"I don't know." I shrugged looking back at them, seeing Glenn look over and mouth something to me as Rick looked away for a moment. Although I had absolutely no idea what he was saying.
'What?' I mouthed back to him and he shook his head in defeat and turned back to talk to Lori.
"Looks like he was tryna tell yous something." Rick said from behind me and I shook my head trying to understand what Glenn had just tried to tell me.
