(The other Dixon)
I wake up to someone violently shaking me, I open my eyes to find Glenn looking right back at me with wide eyes. "Jesus Glenn," I groaned as I sat up rubbing my eyes. "What the hell are you doing? Waking me up like that?" I locked eyes with him as he fumbled to find his words, clearly not having thought this through as he looked back at me. "I-I, come see what they're doing to my car!" He pouted clearly upset. "Alright, but, you've gotta give me a minute to get changed, so, go." I said pushing him out the tent. "Alright."
I then quickly get dressed into a pair of black jeans, and oversized black T-shirt tied up with a hair tie, and my black Kombat boots, seeing as it was far too warm to be wearing a jacket.I open my tent to reveal Glenn sitting on a wooden log with his face in his hands.
He looks over to me as I begin to approach him.
"Hailie! Look! Look what they're doing to my car!" He whined pointing to Jim, Dale, and Morales who were all tearing the car apart."Look at em, Vultures!" He continues to moan about the car, I see Rick starting to walk over to us and offer him a friendly smile, one of which he returns. "Go on! Strip it clean"
"Generators need every drop of fuel they can get. Got no power without it. Sorry Glenn." Dale explains to the young man with a small apologetic smile.
"Thought I'd get to drive it a few more days." He looks to his feet, and I pat his back comfortingly.
"Maybe we'll get to steal another one someday." Rick says patting his shoulder as he passed. I leaned my head on Glenn's shoulder as we both watched them rip the car to shreds.
"It was a pretty cool car." I admit as he mumbles a "yeah." under his breath.
"Waters here y'all." Shane shouts as he drives through the camp in his pick-up. "Just a reminder to boil before use."
I turn my attention back to Glenn who's eyes we're still fixated on the broken car in front of him.
"Come on." I slam my hands on my legs as I start to stand up. "No point in sittin' around bitchin' about some car." He looks up at me narrowing his eyes.
"Bitching? Is that what my suffering is to you?" He asked faking his offence, I rolled my eyes at him, before playing along with his childish antics.
"Of course not!" Over exaggerating my sympathy,
"You're absolutely right, this is probably the worst thing that will ever happen to us, in an apocalypse."
And I walked away, he smirked before following me toward the other members of camp. "I know!" He shouted making me laugh. We were quickly cut off by screaming, drawing everyone's attention to Carl and Sophia running out of the woods.
"Carl?" Rick and Shane run toward the kids while I run to the woods where they pointed.
"Hailie!" I turn my head to Shane as he throws a metal baseball bat in my direction, I catch it before running further into the woods.
I stop at the clearing, upon seeing a walker hunched over what would have been a deer had it not been ripped into, I let the baseball in my hand fall limply by my side, as rushed footsteps were heard behind me and someone came barrelling into the back of me sending me a few steps forward.
"Jesus!" I turned around shoving the hands from my waist to come face-to-face with Glenn whose face held an expression of shock and he stumbled over his words. "I-um -sorry." I give him a hard stare before returning my attention to the group of people that have congregated behind us.
